Half liter bottle - nose is caramel and yard weeds. Alsmost crisp. Hoppier than I expect from the style. Something akin to pepper in the finish. Interesting. MartinT (9851) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 13, 2014
My Bottom Line:JStax (6357) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - NOV 11, 2013
Herbal hops and a delicate cereal crunch merge into a wooden finish in this cushy, friendly lager.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the misty amber shine.
-Nice cereal lengths make sure the finish is also balanced.
-Hop bitterness is minimal.
-The discreet fruitiness of oranges adds depth.
-This may not be the most memorable brew, but it is a nice go-to quencher.
500 ml bottle shared. Poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a semi-hazy pale gold with a nice crop of white foam. In the aroma there is notes of grass, bread, maybe a little straw. The taste is nicely balanced with a leaning toward bitterness. For an oktoberfest, this would fall into the more traditional category. Not overly malty like a lot of the commercial examples. This one is pretty nice. Could drink this pretty regularly. BeerInHeaven (446) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 7, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2015 pours a rich amber gold with a medium off white head. Some lacing. Aroma is bread and malt. Taste is rich, slightly bitter but good. Finishes with the same taste lingering. Good beer! rlpeeler (93) - Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA - OCT 26, 2013
On tap on the sidewalk into a plastic cup. Medium dark amber with medium off white head. Taste more malt than hop with hints of undefined fruit. Smooth with full body. Had following a Sam Adams oktober from a block down and it was absolutely gods nectar in comparison.

Poured from a bottle with a thin ivory head, a pale orange-copper color with little lacing. Slight malty-alcohol aroma. Low carbonation, light body & mouthfeel. Not much flavor. I won't buy this again.

Amber with medium head.
Dusty bready malt. Light woody hop.
Bit thin on the palate. Toasted malt, biscuity, light caramel and a touch of woody bitterness.

The beer itself is mild tasting but has a nice session flavor with the malt and mild hops. It's for the season

Pours a dark red. The aroma is pretty neutral. The taste is thin with a strong caramel malt aftertaste. I would say that they used a cheap base malt and then tried to doctor it up with the specialty malts. Very unoffensive, but needs a lot of work. rubbishystuff (2529) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 31, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2015 From WLVL. Ok third time trying to rate this. Beer buddy acting up. Good example of style. Full malty flavor. Refreshing. Serving: bottle
