Nice Hefe -- loads of flavor, with banana, coriander and hops flavors and aroma mingling nicely. Not quite sure why this is a winter seasonal (unless it’s winter wheat?), but it’s pretty good. Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 17, 2007
12oz bottle-A cloudy orange body with a small white head which has an aroma of wheat, yeast, and coriander. Taste the same. A great tasting weizen just like a true hefe. A great German hefe from a US brewery. Skyview (6020) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - SEP 9, 2007
Picked up a 12-oz bottle from the brewpub in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that totally disappears clean. Aroma of mostly corn grits, flowery hops with a touch of banana esters and cloves. Taste is semi sweet, medium bodied, very little carbonation with flavors of toasted malt, some bananas and vegetable. Finish is slightly sweet with a dry banana bread aftertaste. Nothing memorable on this brew. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 29, 2007
The latest in a series of decent hefe’s this week. Banana dominates some faint clove but smelled fresh enough. Well bleneded banana and clove in the body. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 19, 2007
On tap at Hinterland. Poured an almost clear pale golden with a short white head and sticky lacing. Aroma picked up sweet toasted banana and wheaty notes with a nice soft balance. Flavor was of sweet toasty bananas & light caramel with a touch of dusty clove and bubblegum through the tasty finish. Lighter-bodied and a bit spicy with very good balance. Enjoyed it.

Pours a hazy light gold color with very little head for a hefeweizen. Aroma is of banana, clove and a slight oily vegetable aroma. Taste is much the same but it lacks the sweetness you normally find in a good hefe. The finish is a bit oily and acidic for my taste. Arnie (274) - Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA - JUL 30, 2007
Bottled, also thanks to Jim. Mild hefe, uncharacteristically bland. some hints of clove on nose and flavor. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - JUL 23, 2007
Had this one bottled, thanks Jim! Cloudy, dark orange pour with a filmy white head, banana and strawberry nose, corriander and some mild cloviness, finished muddy. Pretty decent brew but I would say atypical of the style. Jabswitch (278) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 2, 2007
Hazy gold in color poured from a 12 oz. bottle. Citrussy aroma. Very refreshing and tasty. A very good Weis. Was disappointed to see that it was bottled by Gray in Janesville. Hope it is Hinterlands private recipe. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUL 13, 2005
Dark straw color with a diminished white head. Light wheat and bubblegum aromas. Sweet wheat and orange zest flavors mingle with a touch of banana phenols. A cross between a Oberdorfer and a Hoegaarden White.
