COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our traditional, all-natural full-bodied Hirter 1270er is a delicious interplay between ancient recipes and modern-day tastes. Its characteristic color is due to the gently roasted, caramelized brewing malt.

The water of the Hanslbauer spring and the prolonged maturation time make the Hirter 1270er a GMO-free, non-pasteurized and all-natural beer specialty.

Its delicately balanced, malty flavor, which is enhanced by the subtly integrated carbonic acid structure, is due to the use of the purest aromatic hops, paired with caramelized brewing malt. The Hirter 1270er treats beer lovers to a crisp, full-bodied burst of aroma. 11.9°

330ml brown bottle, from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Deep gold coloured and clear. Small layer of white foam on top, nice lacing. Nose is toasty, bit of caramel sweetness. Taste has toasty grains, bread, slight caramel sweetness. A little grassy at the end, light bitterness. Light body, decent mouthfeel and carbonation. Better than expected, a nice vienna.

Dec 17 CBAC. Dark amber with a nice head. Smells of some bready mid-roast grain. Flavour tries but does not jump over the bar. Mellow body and a doughy grain flavour.

Amber pour with a red tinge. Aroma is crisp with biscuit, lightly fruity, and a little herbal. Crisp with decent enough flavours - apple, bready malts, little bit of mid palate hop kick, lemon. Finishes fairly clean.

CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 15, 2012
(0,33cl bottle) 202 Advent Calendar. Pours a quick dissipating off-white head atop a clear light brown body. Nose of bready malt. Decent carbonation, nice mouthfeel and good enough flavour... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPod

330mL bottle, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Nose is of sweet treacly, caramel malts, toasted nuts, bread, and some honey-ish accents. Flavour is fairly light, with the same treacly caramel malts and honey notes dominating, but they are very weak. A bit of bread as well. Kind of sweet, but the body is not strong enough for it to come through much. Decent, inoffensive beer, but nothing special.

330ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a small white head that leaves very little lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and mild hops. Taste is caramel malty sweet with a mild hop bitterness and mild spice. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Nothing really notable about this one.

VertBaconStrips (2389) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - OCT 20, 2012
Nice bold amber brew with a very thin head. A gentle swirl of the glass made a beautiful medium tan tight and glistening head. Sweet caramel, toasty goodness, dates and maybe a dull spiceless pumpkin. Great flavours here - I think I’d drink this style more if this was available. Of note - actually drinking this after a short visit to the freezer. Sweet bold caramel toasty stuff, light tang just before the finish, very malty, mild mild spice, ya. Well carbonated, good attentive mouthfeel. Thankfully CBC is playing classic NHL games tonight! My bum itches

Tim Webb (443) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2012
500 ml bottle at Krah-Krah in Vienna. The point here is that this is an Austrian Wiener (or Vienna) lager, deriving from the ruddy-blond style pioneered by Anton Dreher at Schwechat, one of the early lager-brewing greats. Ans Austrian don’t do many of these. It is the lager equivalent of a red ale. Not to everyone’s taste or mine but well made and worth finding..

Clear amber color, to the more darker side. Aromas of bread, yeast. Crisp taste of bread and yeast. Earthy tone with some dry hops at the end. Some brown sugar hints. Nice beer, but not my style.
