COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our traditional, all-natural full-bodied Hirter 1270er is a delicious interplay between ancient recipes and modern-day tastes. Its characteristic color is due to the gently roasted, caramelized brewing malt.

The water of the Hanslbauer spring and the prolonged maturation time make the Hirter 1270er a GMO-free, non-pasteurized and all-natural beer specialty.

Its delicately balanced, malty flavor, which is enhanced by the subtly integrated carbonic acid structure, is due to the use of the purest aromatic hops, paired with caramelized brewing malt. The Hirter 1270er treats beer lovers to a crisp, full-bodied burst of aroma. 11.9

Theres something about this beer thats akin to a refreshing drink of high mineral content water. The only comparison I can think of is water I once tried from a limestone mountain spring in Kentucky. The rest was crisp and dry with an undertone of caramel that was not too sweet or malty to disturb the overall lager balance. A nice light bodied beer similar to Lowenbrau.

Bottle in Alpbach, Austria. Caramel body with a bubbly and tan head. Yeasty and malty nose. Taste of malts and slightly sugary. More sweet in the finish. Pretty good.

Pours copper with a small light beige head. Aroma of raisins and malty caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with a well balanced bitterness. A bit low carbonated though.

Dec 17 CBAC. Dark amber with a nice head. Smells of some bready mid-roast grain. Flavour tries but does not jump over the bar. Mellow body and a doughy grain flavour.

Tastes slightly of caramel. Amber in colour. Not really any head to speak of.

.5l pour from tap into glass mug. Hazy, amber, moderate white head. Light body, crisp, a bite of a carbonation bite. Nose is toast. Taste is a little bready, definitely sweet. A bit too sweet, actually. Not enough complexity. Kind of bland.

From tap as house beer at Tolkiens House in Zagreb 07.10.15. Dark orange. Diminishing beige head and lacing. Aroma of sweet medium-dark malt and some continental hops. Taste of malt, marmalade, honey and some hops. Also a slight hint of smoke. Malty aftertaste, with bitterness lingering on. Well balanced.
