50cl bottle. Pours a cloudy brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is strong and complex: Lots of malty sweetness, caramel, toffee, roasted notes, coffee and chocolate. Taste is similar with coffee, chocolate, roasted notes and hints of spicies. Medium/full bodied with good carbonation. Excellent brew. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 29, 2010
Bottle From Friar Tuck in Savoy, IL. Pours a dark amber/ brown with a light beige head. Inviting aroma cocoa, nutshells, and german malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of vienna malts with a touch of chocolate and tobacco, countered by a very mild, balancing herbal bitterness. Nutty and grainy finish. Pretty solid example of the style. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - NOV 16, 2010
[Tap] Pours a solid dark brown color with a cream colored head. Cocoa, dark malts and vanilla in the nose. Lots of roasted dark malt in the flavor, with lesser amounts of milk chocolate, sweet molasses, caramel and dusty grains in the nose. Better than expected body, with a rich/full mouthfeel. Creamy and sweet lingering finish. Well made and very easy to drink. crossovert (12666) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2011
A fine Austiran dunkel. It is sweet and malty, but super drinkable. notes of cocoa and subtle hosp adorn the tongue. EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - FEB 15, 2013
The color of the beer is a reddish brown with a thick off-white head, and the aroma is strongly of roasted chocolate malts, fig, and dough. The taste is mildly sweet and slightly umami, but the palate fuses a soft carbonation, an astringent yet abrupt finish, medium body, and a creamy texture.

Dark colored with light tan head. It has some chocolated taste with hint of roasted coffee and some caramel maltness. Very drinkable because of light body. It’s tastes really nice. artyom (1103) - Osijek, CROATIA - JAN 8, 2014

Poured a dark Cockta-like red-brown colour with a medium to small sized thick beige head that went away slowly. Roasty and somewhat malty aroma.... weak hints of coffee and later on, nuts.. Pleasant taste.... a lovely note of honey, weak hoppy notes, some hints of almond, low low lemony hints, silky body, inobtrusive but quite obvious roastiness going long into the aftertaste. The best dunkel I’ve had so far.
UPDATED: JUN 15, 2008 Tap at Maproom. a very nice dunkel, malty, toasty, somewhat sweet and clean. Big fluffy head. Nice.
