Brewed according to ancient Bohemian recipes and left to mature with a prolonged aging process, the Hirter Privat Pils has a different taste than a typical North German pils.

The soft mountain spring water used for brewing this GMO-free, non-pasteurized and purely natural specialty beer comes from the Hanslbauer spring in the water protection area directly opposite the brewery, underlining the beer’s pure, aromatic hop note and typical taste.

The Hirter Privat Pils is highly fermented, resulting in a naturally slender taste that beer connoisseurs often refer to as “semi-dry”. Slender on the palate, the beer has a harmonious, bittersweet finish. However, the delicately bitter note is never overpowering, but reveals its typically soft character as an integral flavor element. Another characteristic is the mild carbonic acid structure, which ensures optimum flavor. 12.3°

Helder geel bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig zoals echt pils behoort te zijn. Uitstekende pils wat mij betreft, echt genieten.

500 ml bottle at a restaurant, bb 24.08.2017.
Golden, clear body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of grass, hay, flowers, some bread, malt sweetness, some corn.
Tastes quite similar, with some cardboard
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.

330ml bottle shared by ippopotamo36 (thanks Alberto!). Oro limpida, schiuma bianca media persistente. Naso un po’ vuoto e sporco, straccio bagnato, crema di latte, metallico. In bocca č molto migliore, dolce all’attacco con chiusura appena amara. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Potabile.

Bottle shared with Mortlach in Rome-Italy. Golden clear pour, really nice. Irregular white foam with retention and drafts on the glass. Nose: burnt bread crust, mild tough...a bit cookies. Mouth: sweet approach, cereals and a mild bitter finish. More on the sweet side.

After two museums and kilometers of walk in Vienna, this beer was really welcome in the Thai restaurant Vienna-Bangkok. It is a typical pils, it sounds more a Bavarian pils than a Bohemian, but it is a personal opinion. The color is yellow and gold, thin and white foam, regular carbonation. The taste is bitter, hop, malt, a bit tough and metalic but it is a refreshing beer, on the standard.

Kita (2095) - Koper, SLOVENIA - OCT 16, 2016
Bottle, 0.50l. Clear pale golden color with medium creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma is grassy, grainy, dusty and a bit citric. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy and rich malty, following is refreshing grassy and a bit medicinal, mouthfeel is crisp and dry, while finish is medium bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Proper pils with clean but quite rich taste...
