UPDATED: MAY 11, 2017 Vom Faß („Klosterbier“, 4,8 %) im Historikhotel Klosterbräu Ebrach. - Die historische Klosterbräu Ebrach stellte bereits um 1950 den Braubetrieb ein; seit 2005 gibt es wieder ein Klosterbier, „gebraut nach dem alten Rezept durch die Brauerei Göller in Zeil am Main“. - Schön rotgold, fast klar. - In der Nase appetliche toastig-nussige und dunkle Malznoten. - Antrunk etwas dünn mit schöner Karamelnote und angenehm toastiger Malzsüße. Leichter orangenfruchtiger Hopfen, nur mild herb. Etwas zuviel Kohlensäure, die sich aber herausschütteln läßt. Im Abgang Malzbittere und nicht zu knappe doch aromatisch etwas blasse Hopfenherbe. - Trinkbares, ja angenehmes Dunkles mit schönen Malzaromen, leider etwas dünn und zu zaghaft gehopft.

50 cl. Bottle. Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Clear amber color. Aroma of dusty grain, caramelized, smooth malty base. Hint of grassy and mild spicy feel. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness. Sweet toasted malty finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown with a dense off-white head. Dry and mild spiced malt aroma. Flavour is mild spiced and slight breadish. Goes into a mild hops, grassy and spiced finish. Nice and crisp.
