Bottle 33cl, a clear copper beer with medium head. Nose is on caramel and light orange. Aroma is on the same, with grain and balrey sugar finish, bit watery. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAY 24, 2017
Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Some light stringy lace.
The aroma had some dark fruits, clean caramel/toffee malts, subtle citrusy hops and some leather.
The flavor was malty sweet through the prior mentioned aromas to guide on into the aftertaste in the same way. Finish was somewhat quick and malty.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, pretty good amber ale I think I could try again if offered. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 21, 2012
Light orange, small white head. Raisins, white bread, herbal, interesting. Mild bitterness, medium carbonation. In between of an IPA and flavourful Belgian white, or something. Bit hun thin, though. More of these Japanse beers please. Thanks to the great guys at the Brewdog Camden bar. (Sample glass) Gurthnar (5865) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 16, 2015
Bottle thanks to Dusan & Simona. Lightly medicinal phenolic, other than that hops centered, thin body, high carbonation. Resiny piney hops. TimE (5816) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 11, 2004
Dark brown color with an off white head. The nose is balanced with caramel malt and cascade hops. The mouth starts hoppy then huge caramel malts come in and then finally the hops come back at the end. Like most of Hitachino nest beers, really well balanced.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a deep amber-brown body with a small white head. Nose is caramel, nuts, roasty tones, grass and hints of pine. Taste is nougat, grass, nuts, burnt sugar and hints of paper. Moderate carbonation, medium body. Pretty standard amber without any real flaws, nor merits. Sampled @ GJBF Yokohama: Copper color, nice thin head, light lacing. Nose of light caramel malt, some light hop and full bodied creamy malty body. Nice and full, rounded and rich. Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JUN 29, 2012
Bottle from Brewdog Online,Paired with pizza.
More ruby-brown than amber with a fluffy tan head. Lemon and dusty cupboards on the nose, its well carbonated, quite smooth in the mouth with toffee and chocolate notes up front, followed by some slight citrus hops and a touch of black malt astringency. Enjoyable but more of a brown ale. zacgillbanks (5179) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2012
Bottle from BrewDog website. A very dark red-brown beer with rich caramel, notes of malt, raisins, red fruit and earthy hops on the finish. MrTipple (4966) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2014
Aroma: heavy caramel and bread malts. Appearance: hazy amber, small, creamy, white head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: sweets continue, caramel and bread malts, soft carbonation, lightly dry finish. Overall: quite a nice Amber Ale, yet nothing to write home about. Bottle at Yardbird, Hong Kong.
