Pours dark brown with a low tan head. Aroma is malts, fruits and caramel. Flavor is bitter malts, some fruits, some caramel and some hops. Pretty decent. JohnRMurdoch (5142) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - APR 2, 2012
Bottle from BrewDog Glasgow. Unexpected dark brown collour with a yellowish foamy head. Hoppy chocolate caramel aroma. Hop & chocolate flavour. Quite smooth. Not a typical amber ale. melush (4957) - SPAIN - JUN 6, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2016 Botella de 33 cl, adquirida en un Seijo Ichii de Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japon. Color ambar oscuro. Sabor a lupulo, malta, ligeramente amargo. Muy buena cerveza. RichardGretton (4860) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 23, 2013
Bottle. Strong coloured amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is quite dry with a hint of bitterness, the flavour is very bitter (rather like an IPA) and refreshingly dry with a hint of spice. Overall a nice strongly bitter beer.

0.33l bottle shared with The tasting Crew. This is a light cloudy dark amber-red one with a nice small islandy off-white top. Smells quite nice with a dark sweet caramel, some red berries and fruity hops. Really nice taste on this. It’s caramelly sweet, lot’s of dry grassy bitterness. Light dry in the mouth all the way, and it’s average to soft on the carbonation with a light both dry and oily mouthfeel. Quite elegantly balanced. Some hints of sweet licorice in the aftertaste. Could easily drink this again. 18.10.2012

Appearance: Chestnut brown body. Small white head. Good lacing.
Taste: Roasted malts and berry fruits. Subtle coffee taste. Not overly complex, but nice balanced and very moreish.
Palate: Medium body. Light carbonation. Bitter finish.
Overall: Roasted malt flavours dominate the bitter hops. Well balanced taste.
Draught at the brewery. Browny red/dark amber colour with off-white head. Aroma spicy and roasted, but like Hojicha, red roasted tea. Also quite hoppy bitterness, pine, resinous, b.o. Very prickly in the mouth and a very bitter finish. Ron (4255) - Rochester, New York, USA - SEP 1, 2009
Bottle at the RB Rochester Gathering, Aug. 30/ 09. Thanks, KyotoLefty! Amber in color and slightly reddish. Nice sweet and malty aroma and flavor. Enjoyable
