Orange with good, creamy, white head / Soft, smooth, complex nose of pear, ginko and citrus / Medium body, creamy and mellow, with some sweetness, good fruit, and fine balance and lightly bitter finish / Lush flavors of pear, honeydew, orange, lemon, light wood, and hay / Really good. 77ships (9827) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 10, 2012
550 ml. Bottle purchased for take away from Brewdog Camden. This spend some time in the cellar, so I assume that this is the 2011 Version. Bright golden with spotty white head. Smell is sweet cheese from the sorachi ace, less blue chess in this one just sweeter yellow cheese, butter in a good way, not from infections etc. golden fields of barley, sweet sugar summer fruit. Sweet yellow cheese Sorachi ace taste blended with some floral touches, sweeter punch fruits with sugar, white wine grapes, fields of barley, soft fruits, good way butter, light bitter spice in the back. Appears to have lost some potency and body with age but still very lovely and original. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 19, 2011
550ml bottle sharedby jsprime. outstanding dry and hoppy, slightly funky, golden ale. saisoneque, simple with its ingredients but complex in its taste. wonderful stuff. sloshgator (741) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Hatachino Nipponia Golden Ale is definitely a quality beer. Nice cloudy wheat pour with a pillowy head. Aroma is pleasantly yeasty. Taste is a bit sour with a slight alcohol bite. A mild bitterness mellows it all out. Nipponia Golden ale is an overall pleasant brew. GlobalVillager (9) - - FEB 4, 2011 does not count
This beer could rate right next to a Caymus Conundrum wine. So many angles and twists. It is a little saison-like in creaminess, some cedar and hickory in side notes, a real chardonnay flavor, with malo/butter on the backbone. I really like this beer, Hitachino rocks in originality. Get some!

This is a really great beer. Light, absurdly drinkable, nice lemon zest hop characteristic set boldly against a traditional golden ale biscuity malt quality. Really freaking good. deadguy (42) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2010
Pours hazy rich golden with little head. Sweet, piney, sour and citrusy notes. Sharp hoppy flavor gives way to subtle notes of licorice and earthy overtones with an exceptionally clean finish. Very refreshing. 3fourths (9345) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 20, 2010

This is the best golden ale i have tasted. Pours cloudy golden with a sexy white head. Aroma of citrus and straw and a slightly spicy note. Taste is a touch sweet but finishes clean and dry. The carbonation is slightly sharp but it still remains smooth and mildly bitter at the finish, alcohol is a touch heavy in my opinion but still very smashable. Its much more complex and interesting than most other beers of this style I’ve tried. This beer sits around $20 retail in Australia which is a touch expensive but worth it if you want to try an amazing golden ale. dengleberry (22) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 3, 2011
First, this beer caught me completely off-guard. The nose was not up my alley. The color, a little litght. Well...upon tasting....this beer is solid. More wine flavors than beer. Chardonay creaminess......riesling sweetness. Nice beer...I love estate beers.
