Draught at CBM event. 2012 vintage. Lots of caramel, red fruit, jam, cinnamon, vanilla, don’t really get much oak character, long sweet finish. Fairly disappointing one, alcohol is quite well hidden, but too sweet overall for me. nimbleprop (8591) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 8, 2015
Sampled on tap a while back at PPD, pours an oily, purple amber with basically zero head. Nose has a lot of vinous notes, some worm wood, some red grape, grappa, some pear juice, some black cherry soda, a little light vinegar. It all sounds gross, but it does honestly come together, red grape notes dominate, some balsamic vinegar, red cherries, some blackberry, currants, a little vanilla, slightly vegetal. Oily, tannic finish. You definitely need to be ready for it, but this had a lot of complexity. jredmond (8445) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 3, 2014
Draft at Ginger Man with streets. Pours a deep hazy ruby red with no head. Minor lacing. Aroma is sour fruit, oak and sweet malt. Nice nose. Mouthfeel is lightly tart and soft with notes of sour fruits - grapes and berries, light oak, some wine character and malt. Nice. mansquito (6695) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUN 29, 2014
The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours a murky amber brown with a white head. Aroma is loads of wine, vinegar, wood, fruit, and sugar. Taste is sour at the front, but against a rather heavy malt backbone that provides adequate but not excessive amounts of sweetness. Alcohol is well covered by all that stuff. Plenty of complexity, but not lacking on drinkability. Glad to blipp (9501) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Draft. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Wheat and lemony, with some light whiskey-like notes, grapes, and juniper. Well balanced and very drinkable.

Tap at Gingerman. Cloudy pour, small head. Rubbery grape, yeasty, blackberry aroma. Kind of boozy, brandy flavor, prickly with light carbonation. cards04 (2827) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Labeled Hitachino Zymatore. Pours an orange marmalade colour with nice lacing. Sweet and sour aromas. Sweet candy, minty, hoppy. Nice! boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured deep, amber/reddish with a thin, khaki head. Nose had a definite vinous, barrel, oak, and funk character. Some decent fruits notes with a mild acid and tartness to it. As it finished the tartness came through more. A little warming, but overall the alcohol was well masked. A nice, rare treat to have. brokensail (16601) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 17, 2012
A hazed golden orange pour with a white head. Nose is fairly heavy on the fruit and yeast notes. A light lactic tartness, some straw, grass, and some decent citrus zest. A bit of bread and oak, too. The flavor doesn’t have too much in the way of wine, but a decent bit of oak. Some grass and straw, a bit of citrus zest, and a light lactic sourness. Mild malt sweetness, some yeast, and hints of pear and apple. northropfrye (3662) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 13, 2012
On tap at Happy Gnome. Hitachino Zymatore. Sweet fruity Belgian style ale. A touch of hops. Excellent stuff.
