bottle.. a little surprised by the other reviews, did we get a bad bottle?... all their beers have a distinct yeast character that I quickly identify, this beer is drowning it, presumable because of how it was brewed, dark fruits, a bit of lacto, a little caramel... not a fan
Bottle at RateBeer Best. Pours a cloudy copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is oak, yeast, pure sugar. Medium body, dark fruit, oak, light tartness, good. DSG (14685) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 21, 2017
[1/28/17] Bottle/Draught at RateBeer Best festival in Santa Rosa. Cloudy amber. Sour, vinegar, cherries, cellar, sweetish notes. Very nice. slowrunner77 (11911) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JAN 31, 2017
Amber color. More malty with Belgian yeast subtle. Light tartness and pit fruit. OK. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - SEP 28, 2016
Pours a hazy brown amber color with a half finger of egghsell foam. Nose is metallic with notes of iron, rotten fruit, caramel. Palate follows the nose... with less metallic notes but lots of odd sweet malts mingling with some tart composted fruit and lingering earthy coffee grounds. Bitter walnut, dark turbinado sugar, chestnuts, dried cherry, cardboard... some interesting flavors but probably should have just been dumped rather than sold for $$ ! 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2016
From bottle it’s hazed brown with a short off-white head. Aroma is sherry and red apple, caramel malt and alcohol, old fruit (peach, pear), honey, wood oil, autumn spices. Medium-full bodied, sweet and acidic, prickly and zesty-citric. Kind of an odd Manhattan cocktail effect, that surprisingly comes close to the character of Flemish Red.

Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
This just hit store shelves locally in the past week, WTF? Is this really 5 years old, and why is it only now reaching retailers? If there were only 8000 bottles, how the hell is there any left and available at a big warehouse liquor store in Colorado? Questions I will likely never have answers to, but oh well. It’s not cardboardy, thankfully...the acidity has no doubt helped smooth out the aging process, so that the oxidation is pleasantly sherry-ish, and there are other, more enjoyable odors here to complement that: cherries, caramel apples, brandy, oranges, etc. Quite enticing, much more so than most oxidized beers I’ve encountered. Sour but not all that strong...nicely balanced with the caramelly sweetness. Definitely better than expected. biirusaikou (2705) - - FEB 27, 2016
Draught at CBM event. Real Ale version. Rich sour plum and cherry with a sweet tart edge, pretty tasty and balanced stuff, could have done with a bit of carbonation maybe. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - FEB 22, 2016
Bottle. Thanks, J! What an interesting and unexpected treat. Pours a murky dark brown with a thin light tan head that fades quickly. Mild sweet nose, biscuity, crackery, caramelly, soft roasted nuts. Creamy thick body with soft carb. Nutty, caramelly, sesame seeds, nougatty mid palate. Mild softly sweet finish. JimmyBoy74 (637) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAR 2, 2014
33 cl East West Sushi. Kommer bara ihåg att denna öl var väldigt smaklös och en stor besvikelse. theisti (4112) - Kansas, USA - JAN 27, 2014
550 ml to go bottle purchased at Coffee District Beer and Wine Bar in Delray Beach, Florida. The pour is haze copper brown golden with a 1/4 inch lasting tan head. The aroma is big malty sweet and yeast fruit, with some vanilla showing as the beer warmed. The taste is fruit lactic yeast dominant up front, than sweet toffee malt behind. The house Hitachino yeast notes are present as well. Nice depth of character - tannic. The palate is medium to heavy bodied soft carbonation, and a lingering integrated alcohol in the finish. The lactic fruit and vanilla sweetness linger. Unique flavors.
