COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Caramel, roasted, black and chocolate malts provide an explosion of coffee like flavors. The strong espresso character comes from the addition of espresso beans to the boil. Notes of vanilla, dark fruit , cocao and chocolate. The very unusual character of Hitachino Nest Espresso Stout stems from the fact that Kiuchi Brewery is using the recipe of a Russian Imperial Stout as base. Pitch black color, big brown head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted bitterness, black currants, dark fruits.

12oz bottle, brand new to Omaha. Pours a deep black, with only the slightest hints of ruby peeking through the edges. The head peeks at a quarter of an inch, and fades quickly to a wispy swirling head, leaving behind a thin webbing of lace. Smell; the espresso really comes through right away. Very roasty, alomst charred coffee at first, but then fades a little to some chocolate and molasses. Taste; as with the aroma the coffee hits right away, and for a litle while its hard to pick out the other flavors. As it warms though the coffee fades just enough to get some chocolate, molasses and raisins. The finish is all bitter dark roasted malts and coffee beans. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a light smooth carbonation, and the drinkability is good.

330 ml bottle. deep brown pour verging on black. medium creamy dark tan head with some loose lacing. Aroma is heavy on the dark chocolate, black coffee, espresso, dark fruit. Taste follows leading from medium sweet chocolate to a long lasting roast bitter finish. medium to full body, average carbonation, slightly slick.

Piwo praktycznie czarne, przebłyski pod światło. Spora piana, dosyć gęsta. Dużo espresso, wanilii i czekolady. Piwo jest zaskakująco gęste.

Pours black with a creamy beige top. Notes are licorice, chocolate, toasty malt, espresso bean and blackberry. Carbonation was medium on a lighter body especially for a stout.

Bottle from Janes Beer Store in Mountain View, CA. Aroma is mild espresso, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is sweet milk chocolate, vanilla and some mild coffee candy notes. I was expecting a bit more from this one...not a huge fan of the vanilla sweetness here.

Rich and complex aroma. Cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cherries, somehow baltic porter like. Taste: mainly coffee and cocoa. Bit too sour. Very decent beer
