COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Caramel, roasted, black and chocolate malts provide an explosion of coffee like flavors. The strong espresso character comes from the addition of espresso beans to the boil. Notes of vanilla, dark fruit , cocao and chocolate. The very unusual character of Hitachino Nest Espresso Stout stems from the fact that Kiuchi Brewery is using the recipe of a Russian Imperial Stout as base. Pitch black color, big brown head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted bitterness, black currants, dark fruits.

Drinked in bottle. On the nose a very elegant bitter chocolate note, coffee beans and hints of roasted coconut. In mouth is medium full bodied, very balanced and enjoyable, a nice warm sensation. A lovely dark bitter chocolate after taste. Great beer

Bevuta in bottiglia. Colore tonaca di frate Co riflessi rossi. Schiuma fine color cappuccino. Carbonazione bassa. Al naso tutto il caffè che si può immaginare con leggero cioccolato e la vaniglia. In bocca dolcezza media. Ottimo corpo, molto ben bilanciata. Finale avvolgente.

Very pleased with this first try from Hitachino! Sure, it was absurdly expensive, but hey, who doesn't love trying new beer. This one is BOLD: it has considerable roast and the espresso comes through big on the nose and on the taste buds. I can recommend, but probably not a repeat buy at current price point. 11.2 oz bottle

oobawa (1647) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 7, 2017
Easygoing coffee stout, bold notes of java and chocolate undercut by hints of cherry and anise, finishing with a modest bitterness and a slightly unwanted tart streak. Nowhere near a RIS—despite what the description says—but still enjoyable as a dry stout. Mocha nose, okay pour, and the texture is a tad light for the style. Not bad.

Bottle. Black with a medium light brown head. Aromas of coffee and malt. Sweet taste with a soft cooffee end.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2017 Kolor czarny.
