LazyPyro (1479) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2016
330ml bottle. Hazy amber-orange colour with large white head, good lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, herbs and malt, something else I’m not sure about possibly wood from the Cedar cask. Taste is hoppy citrus and earthy malty, caramel notes, bready, pine. Bitter hop finish. Little bit different from a typical IPA, nice, interesting.

thirstyrabbit (1849) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 21, 2016
Bottle. Sunset orange body, medium head. Aroma has herbal hops and marmalade. Quite hoppy taste with woody bitterness (is that the barrel?), some marmalade and dried orange peel. Sweet jammy finish with some bitter orange peel. Not your typical IPA, that’s for sure. But it’s interesting and memorable - extra points for that.

Nose: light toasted sweet toffee barley malts. (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: crisp-thicker viscosity, Mid-palate: fine creamy CO2 mouthfeel, almost berrylike, (lvl-6-sweetness), tangy-zingy, woody toffee barley malt, hints of sake sweetness Finish: dryness, lingering medium sharp bitter hops.
