3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
2010 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a huge, creamy beige head. Aroma is full of sweet bread spice and citrus zest, some fruity esters and light soapy notes. Flavor is big on coriander and cinamon up front, dusty grain, sweet malt, some orange peel, but it is not nearly as citrusy in taste as it is in aroma, a hint of vanilla and nice earthy nutmeg to the finish. Medium body, with a slick slightly booozy entry, small bubbled, but very blanketing and sharp carbonation. After blowing off all that foam, I’m suprised that this had any carbonation left at all but it is actually rather harsh. Fairly tasty brew, the mouthfeel is not so great, but it has a really nice finish and aftertaste with, sweet bread spice and vanilla.
Draught. Pours reddish amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is spice and wheat; plenty of cinnamon and coriander. Sweet toffee malt and some light citrus. Taste is like a lighter barleywine; cinnamon, barley, coriander, some caramel, some toffee, a light earthiness, and nutmeg. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. colui72 (1032) - HONG KONG - APR 28, 2017
Hazy amber, medium white head, some spotty lacing. Aroma is floral, citrus, spices, Belgian yeast. Taste gets more complex, with orange peel, coriander, cinnamon, spices, vanilla, herbs and booze. Bitter finish, medium body, soft carbonation. Quite rich ale, not my style but I must say it’s quite tasty.
P.S. funny fact, a "Commemorative Ale" for my rating n.900. Happy days! melush (4144) - SPAIN - APR 1, 2017

Medium Clear amber with a frothy, lasting, off-white head. Smells of toasted malt, caramel, yeast and bubble gum, with some, nutmeg, acidic and citrus. Super sweet taste of caramel on a bitter peppery middle and a candy, sweet finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. mrjez (622) - Osaka, JAPAN - MAY 19, 2016
Bottle rated back in Feb, adding now. Has that familiar Kiuchi wheat and spice flavour, mixed with some sweetned malt, fruit, charred brown sugar. Very bready, almost like gingerbread with the nutmeg note. Carries alcohol warmth, lively carbonation. A lovely winter-time sipper. adamnowek (2727) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 17, 2016
