Pours a bright, hazy orange color, light white head and thin lacing. Fruit and spice aroma, peach, pineapple, coriander and cinnamon. Rich, sweet body with vanilla undertones, juicy. Finishes long, mostly bitter and slightly metallic, hints of pine. An impressive beer at first, yet loses some of its charm as the sticky sweetness compounds in the mouth.
Tap as "Commodative ale", 8%. Hazy brown color. Almost no head. Sourish, spices, cinnamon, citrus, herbal in aroma. Sourish, caramel, toffee, cinnamon, berries and toffee in taste. Sourish, clove, berries in aftertaste. Berries and spices everywhere. Drinkable brew. LazyPyro (1798) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2018
330ml bottle at 8%, as Hitachino Nest Commemorative Ale. Hazy amber with a beige head, dissipating. Aroma of bready malts, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, fruits. Taste of bready malt, sweet, vanilla, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, ripe fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Interesting beer, sweet and spicy isn't really my thing though as I felt the flavours clashed a bit but seemed fairly good I suppose. simontomlinson (673) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2017
Thin off white head soon left a cover on a hazy, walnut coloured, slightly effervescent body.
Barley Wine aroma with malt, hops, treacle & honey.
Medium to full bodied, thick & cloying on the palate with minimal carbonation.
Heavily spiced tastes of Christmas spice, nutmeg, over ripe grape, cinamon & honey. PhillyCraft (8195) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2017

Draught. Pours reddish amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is spice and wheat; plenty of cinnamon and coriander. Sweet toffee malt and some light citrus. Taste is like a lighter barleywine; cinnamon, barley, coriander, some caramel, some toffee, a light earthiness, and nutmeg. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Oily mouthfeel.

Hazy amber, medium white head, some spotty lacing. Aroma is floral, citrus, spices, Belgian yeast. Taste gets more complex, with orange peel, coriander, cinnamon, spices, vanilla, herbs and booze. Bitter finish, medium body, soft carbonation. Quite rich ale, not my style but I must say it’s quite tasty.
P.S. funny fact, a "Commemorative Ale" for my rating n.900. Happy days! melush (4961) - SPAIN - APR 1, 2017
