(355ml bottle) Pleasantly surprised to see this beer displayed at my local - Cook Street Liquor Store, in Victoria, B.C. for around $3.90. Pours a dark caramel colour beneath a thin, dissipating white head. Nose is nice, set, malty and good ginger base. Somewhat fruity, some raspberry seed flavour before the ginger sharpness takes over. Tangy, sweet and tasty. Nice beer.

Bottle, LCBO. I am a sucker for a good ginger beer and this one did the trick tonight. Surprisingly dark yellow / golden brown pour, small head. Lots of ginger and some sweet malt in aroma. Taste is lots of ginger up front, substantial medium malt, sweet, behind it, and a long ginger finish. This is a solid ginger beer with a surprisingly solid malt backdrop - plus way more alcohol than I was expecting. Not sure you could ask much more from a ginger beer, unless you were looking for a sipper. Nice stiff.

Pours deep amber with a creamy 1 fingered head. Ginger notes and a nice spiciness greet the nose. Medium body with a nice spice to it, even through the finish. A fun brew for a change.

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy brownish amber with dense cream coloured head. Flavours are dominated by sweet ginger. Not much else is coming through. Flavours are very sweet. Initially thanks to the malt then due to the ginger on the finish, Some bitterness on the end. Nice beer

Pours a deep amber with a small white head. Aroma is not very prevalent but is sweet citrus and ginger. Taste is sweet, citrus, some hop bitterness at the back of the mouth and a ginger dryness. Nice little beer but lacks a little wow.

3.8
wilderthanyou (758) - Guelph, CANADA - AUG 15, 2010
Pours a hazy, orange, amber, colour with a frothy short lived white head. The aroma is pretty interesting, ginger, licorice, malt, citrus, honey, floral hops, there really is quite a bit to this beer. The flavour is pretty much a spot on reflection of the aroma. You know, i bought two of these about a month ago, I tried the one right away and wasn’t really blown away, but now drinking this, I’m trying to remember why? This is some pretty fantastic stuff, definitely worth a try. . .maybe gets better with age... going to buy some more.
