Bottle. Pours a very cloudy brownish amber with dense cream coloured head. Flavours are dominated by sweet ginger. Not much else is coming through. Flavours are very sweet. Initially thanks to the malt then due to the ginger on the finish, Some bitterness on the end. Nice beer cfrancis (3453) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 17, 2010
Pours a deep amber with a small white head. Aroma is not very prevalent but is sweet citrus and ginger. Taste is sweet, citrus, some hop bitterness at the back of the mouth and a ginger dryness. Nice little beer but lacks a little wow. wilderthanyou (758) - Guelph, CANADA - AUG 15, 2010
Pours a hazy, orange, amber, colour with a frothy short lived white head. The aroma is pretty interesting, ginger, licorice, malt, citrus, honey, floral hops, there really is quite a bit to this beer. The flavour is pretty much a spot on reflection of the aroma. You know, i bought two of these about a month ago, I tried the one right away and wasn’t really blown away, but now drinking this, I’m trying to remember why? This is some pretty fantastic stuff, definitely worth a try. . .maybe gets better with age... going to buy some more. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 12, 2010
Cloudy amber pour. Aroma holds sweet malt, ginger, and citric sweetness. Flavor is unimpressive, with more sweet ginger and spice. Palate is light. Mediocre stuff. thorine (37) - Indiana, USA - AUG 11, 2010
From bottle: Hazy, light amber. Sweet aroma of spices and (of course) ginger. Taste: some ginger at front, lingers somewhat, giving way to a grain flavor. Moderate hop character. Somewhat spicy finish. Not as impressed as I was with some of the other Hitachino Nest brews.

Bottle from the LCBO- SLightly hazed orange, with a nice frothy white cap. Nose is super spicy with loads of ginger, caramel malts, floral spices. Tastes like ginger, and lots of it. Sweet, slightly fruity, like apricot, with some pineapple. A bit of clove towards the end. Medium bodied, a bit heavy and syrupy for mass consumption, but I’m generally pleased with this. gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 7, 2010
Hazy orange pour with a nice thinly bubbled head. Nice scent very appealing and welcoming. Sweet and gingery. Unique taste. Not what I expected. The ginger is not nearly as overpowering as I expected. Reminds me of a fruit beer or a wheat. Really easy to drink. Little to no aftertaste. Really can’t taste the strongness either. garthicus (2929) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 4, 2010
Appearance: cloudy copper with a small white head, kind of hazy. Aroma: lots of ginger! Yes, I love Ginger! Kind of like a Ginger chew, a small amount of floral notes in there too. Flavour: Delicious Ginger, yum, tangy and sweet, rises up the back of the palate & tingles the back of the nose & throat. Lots of caramel, spicy, tangy, almost orange tones. I love it!!!! cyrenaica (1126) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 30, 2010

I tried this beer on July 19, 2010 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent copper with a golden-tan head that did not last. The aroma was sweet malt, caramel, floral hops and ginger. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, caramel and ginger. Too sweet for me.
Bottle from LCBO. Hazy caramel with a medium foamy beige head. Aroma is caramel, ginger, malt and spices. Flavor is Ginger, caramel, brown sugar, malt, soap, herbal notes and a moderate bitter finish. Medium body and lively carbonation. GInger is predominent.
