330mL bottle, pours amber orange with an off-white head. Aroma of ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon - christmas spices. Flavour of ginger, malty sweetness, nutmeg and cinnamon, with caramel sweetness lingering. Not bad at all.

Cloudy dark amber colour. Spicy, gingery aroma with a malt background that blends caramel and molasses in seamlessly like a liquid gingerbread cookie. Massive ginger taste, quite a bit of spice and accompanying astringency. Did I ever mention that spiced beers are a bitch to brew well? Overly gingery, also a bit yeasty, which muddies things up too much. It’s like - ok, there’s a strong ginger stamp on this beer but why? What is this going to do for me? Ardunno.

SBWF 2013. Hazy amber beer with a decent offwhite head. Malty ginger aroma, caramel, toffee notes, some fruits. Ginger flavor, hoppy, grassy, bready notes, citrus, some grapes, some herbal notes. Ginger is decently balanced and not overwhelming.

Bottle, at Patricks. It’s an unclear, orange-golden beer with an off-white head. Ginger and generic spicyness in the aroma, malts in the back, but quite evident. The flavor is malty sweet and with a good dash of caramel, still it’s the ginger that runs the show. Some bitterness. Full body. The finish is sweet and spiced. A wonderful ginger beer, even though I think the ginger has to much to say here. 100213

355ml bottle (SBWF2012)

Pleasant ale arome, not really getting much ginger. Rich roasty body. Very full and roasty. Pleasant ginger in the mouth, but very subtle. Smooth and moussey texture. Very nice beer, and doesn’t give any hints of its strength.
