COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Red Rice Ale was brewed with special red rice which had been cultured in ancient times in Japan. Please enjoy the complex taste and beautiful natural color. The ale has complex Sake like flavours with a hint of strawberry in the nose and palate.

Pour: Blood orange red, small light ivory head. Little to no lace. Nose: Red fruit, like strawberries or cherries, hot metal, some creaminess. Taste: I have never tasted anything quite like this before. Rice ales are definitely in a class of their own. Mixture of cherries and currant. Pronounced sweetness that opens up and becomes more layered as it breathes. Nice bite to it. Dry finish. Mouthfeel: Light-Medium body, sharp carbonation. It drinks like a 5% but sits at a comfortable 7%. Overall: On the savory side, I would pair this with grilled eel or any type of teriyaki dish. Since the Hitachino Nest Red Rice Ale has a pronounced sweetness to it, I believe that it would also pair nicely with a Mochi, red bean tart.

330ml bottle. Cloudy amber-gold with a frothy white head. Bland rice, alcohol, and dry amber ale on the nose. Slight rounded bread flavour, with faint alcohol burn, grain, and a generic non-sickly sweetness.

Kicsi, nem tl tarts hab, halvny vrs szn, szűretlen. Alig rezhető, jellegtelen malts alapokkal rendelkező illat. desks, kekszes, jobb hjn nyilvn rizses zvilg, halvny komls betssel. Kzepesen testes, erősen sznsavas, alig keserű. Alapvetően semleges zvilg sr, inkbb a lgerekre hasonlt, de teljesen hinyoznak a knes komponensek.

330ml bottle. Pours hazy pinkish red, medium sized white head stays. Aroma is fruity, berries, banana, caramelly malt, vegetables. Taste is sweet, rice, malty, some tart, red berries, wild strawberry. Dry finish. Medium bodied, average carbo, alco well covered. Different, not bad at all.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Slightly hazy red, fast diminishing head. The aroma is vague and unconvincing - boiled fruit, traces of alcohol and something cheesy. The taste is close to that of an over-attenuated strong amber lager - vague maltiness, harsh boozy notes and unpleasant bitterness. I prefer rice as food.

Pours dark reddish orange with quick, white foam. Sweet, caramel malt nose with some notes of wheat (?). Medium body with active fizz. The malt / rice combination gives it an unusual sweetness, perhaps strawberry as the description suggests. The yeast comes out as it warms. It ends up on the ale end of the spectrum. Rich, with a slightly sour finish.
