I thought it was an excellent witbier. Has a very spicy aroma and full of flavor.

Kind of like what a yamaha saxophone is to the French Selmer original; Kind of like drinking Mexican Coke. All the aspects of a Belgian Wit are there--the coriander, the bubblegum, the orangepeel--but it's just not quite in balance, not quite the original.

Wow, I was simply amazed by this one. The best Wit I've ever had. Extremely clean and crisp. Wonderful yeastiness and spiced to perfection. And the new bottles are just about the cutest beer bottles I've ever seen. (c'mon, they're Japanese, for pete's sake) An absolutley fabulous witbier.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2007 750mL bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of coriander, lemon/lime/orange peel, and allspice. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Quite an attractive nose...definitely spiced and assertively so, but very nicely integrated and seemingly high quality spices (vibrant, realistic). A very enjoyable interpretation indeed...I’m not usually fond of this style, but I could easily drink an entire 750 of this.

Very prominent Corriander aroma with a hint of lactic. The malt flavor is well balanced by the spices and sourness (although I feel it could use some more lactic bite). Overall a pleasent surprise from the land of the rising sun.

Huge nose. Very spicy aroma and flavor. Wheats aren't my favorite but this was refreshing and quite flavorful.

Golden coloured, slightly hazy. Light bodied, spicy. Balanced citrus aroma.

An excellent witbier, especially surprising since its Japanese. Very citric aroma with complementing peach and apricot taste. Nice fizzy finish with plenty of citrus. Light bodied and very flavorful.

The sharp taste was a surprise then it faded away to nothing. While the taste was complex, I didn't care for it much. Not worth the price ($US 7)

An exceptional witbier from Japan! Yeast, spices & wheat in the nose. Definite curacoa and coriander in the nose & flavor profile. A bit of a hop bite in the finish. Great cloudy straw color with a little, white head. Fairly light on the palate. Everything you'd expect and then some. I was very surprised to see this lonely bottle on the shelf!
