3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy golden brown with off white head. Aroma of typical tropical fruity belgian yeast with hints of carmel and light oak. Taste the same but with a nice carmel malt background and lingering bittering hop or maybe the sake aftertaste. Overall a good example of a belgian strong with a different twist.

Bottle 33cl. Small gelly white layer. Heavy body, dark orange brown cloudy color. Quite fizzy. Aroma is meat, fruit, raisins, smoked grain, cookies, cinnamon. Sweet meaty taste. A stand alone desert. jbuzz (830) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 8, 2017
Very heavy feel. Almost leaving a so sauce like after taste. With a Sharp malt nose. kalkone (23) - BELGIUM - JUN 25, 2017
La bière a comme référence la Rochefort. On goûte, le malt, la levure, caramel. Très bonne. Scipio (1081) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2017
Pours a dark amber or copper in color with a thin off white head. The aroma is enticing, although it isn’t very strong. It gives a sweeter impression, with caramel, raisin, yeast, and earthy malts. The advertised sake is faint. The taste is sweet and much more bitter than I was expecting. The flavors are balanced. Its still earthy, has floral hops, caramel, brown sugar, yeast, and spices. The sake is still detectable, but really comes through in the form of a heavy aftertaste. Light to medium in body, a very slick texture, and average carbonation. This is pretty good, though I’d move to something else after just one.

Pours copper, fizzy with a large cream head and little lacing. Aroma is floral, berries, sweet malts. Taste is very malty and boozy, with some fruits and berries, candi sugar, dry bitter. Medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, bitter finish, Tried it again after 2 years, same feeling of something missing. MeadWhisperer31 (24) - - MAY 4, 2017
Il y a comme un côté liquoreux, orangé qui confère à cette bière de type belge, un côté fort sympathique ! jopp (18) - PARIS, FRANCE - APR 30, 2017

Copper brown pour, small beige head with minimal retention, no lacing. Varied malt aroma, biscuit, caramel, some darker fruit. taste leans toward sweet but not overly with mild hop bitter finish. fairly dry. Heavier malts come through in the flavour. higher carbonation, bubbly mouthfeel. Alcohol comes through a tad too much for me.
