Can, under the name of "Black Beer Stout". Nose is lighter than I’d expect for the style, but has a nice bit of roasting to it and just a hint of pseudo-sourness you’ll often get in RISs. Taste also has some nice roasting bordering on a coffee bitterness. Actually a pretty good stout, IMHO.

SHIG (4964) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - JUN 11, 2011
Can: Poured a light black brown with a huge beige head. Strong malt aroma on pour, some gritty bitterness as well. sweet malt up front leaves to a bitter grittiness. Finish is a bit chewing tobacco.

Barwa: ciemna, pod światło rubinowa, klarowna. Piana beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, niewielka, dość szybko opadająca i pozostająca jedynie przy ściankach.

Aromat: zdecydowanie słodowy. Ciemne słody, lekka kwaskowość, melanoidyny, karmel. Mimo wszystko dość złożony, ale mało wyrazisty.

Smak: słodowy, raczej lekki i słodki. Karmel, czekolada, melanoidyny, a więc zdecydowanie w stylu dark lagera lub scharzbiera.

Wynalazek rodem z Korei, zakupiony w jednym z hipermarketów. Nazwa brzmi dość zabawnie, zwłaszcza w aspekcie dopisku lager type. Podobne piwo (dolnej fermentacji) warzył niegdyś rodzimy browar Południe, ale ono chociaż przypominało w smaku stout. Tutaj natomiast mamy do czynienia z jednym ze wspomnianych wyżej stylów, nawet przyzwoitym. Do tego cena także nie najgorsza. Jako lekkie piwo na lato, jak znalazł.

Thanks to SHIG. Dry stout with a little chocolate and a slight smoke in the finish. Really, not too bad.

Bottle as Black Beer Stout. Pours black with garnet hilites and a beige head. Med body. Flavor is a little bitter chocolate and some smooth burnt malt. Nice.

aroma is of just malt, kind of roasty, light alcohol
its dark brown, largely opaque with a tiny pale lace that does stick around a bit. it distinctly is a bit smoother and less aggressively fizzy than yellow fizzy pee beer, but is still a macro. taste is a tiny touch of dark chocolate, roastiness though overall taste is a bit rough and nondescript.

this is hands down the hidden gem in south korea, because its also only costs about 5-15% more than the cheapest ultra name brands put out by hite and OB.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2017 Drank this once while in South-Korea in 2007. Roasty, toast, coffee, slight hint of citrus and herbs, dough, opaque dark brown, tiny head that does stick, medium sweet, toasted malt, hints of coffee and chocolate, light sourness, surprisingly light-bodied, creamy, sweetbitter finish, nice beer, kinda light version stout

Pours a clear brown color with a light brown head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, toffee, caramel, and slightly earthy. Flavor is roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, and a bitter earthy finish.
