Pilsner (or "Pils") originally came from the Bohemian city of Pilsen and was aptly created by a Bavarian brewer. Meanwhile all The Czech and Germany has grown familiar with the delicately bitter flavoucaur. Pilsner has always been a firm favourite in Czech Republic. Our hoppy Premium Hoavener is brewed strictly in accordance with the traditional Pilsner brewing method and has an original wort of 7.5%. Only top-quality Zatec hops are used in its manufacture. Its bold colour and firm head make it easily distinguishable from other beers.

omhper (25160) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2008
Draught at HoaViên Brähaus, Hanoi location. Lightly hazy golden, small creamy head. Rather neutral aroma. Medium dry with light bodu and rounded mouthfeel. Despite it’s subdued hop aroma it blasts away into a resiny, really bitter finish. Well made!

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2009 Hanoi location. Deep gold. Soft carbonation. Fluffy head. Big rich saazy nose with lots of deep, tangy malts. Hoppy and moderately bitter. Medium bready, slightly doughy malts and a long hoppy finish. A sample at the Mui Ne location wasn’t nearly as hoppy, had butter issues and would have scored much lower.

TBone (17581) - Pori, FINLAND - MAR 1, 2009
[email protected], HCMC. Listed as Vien (Golden). Dark golden color, a bit hazy decent off-white head. Wort and sweet malts in the nose. Malty some unfermented sugars, some hoppy bitterness in the finish. Plain but drinkable.

Draft - Soft and soapy grains. Clear gold with a small white head. Soft bitter grains and a light bready finish. If soap is just the glass this isn’t half bad.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2013 30cl at the Hoa Vien brewpub. Thin white head. Hazy golden pour. Pretty refreshing.

jmgreenuk (9459) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - APR 29, 2016
Tap at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy light amber with a broken frothy white head. The aroma is lager malt some citrus and light hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light, fruity, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not bad and better than I expected. I could easily sink a few of these at this price. Shame my meal was six times the price of the beer!

motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 5, 2012
on tap at the brewery restaurant with betty and filthmuppet. pretty pale yellow with a quickly dying head; aroma of old barn; somewhat thin and watery; hints of hop character but much too subdued; didn’t balance the fried cheese i ordered as well as a more vibrant pils would have

visionthing (5363) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 19, 2012
30cl draft at the brewpub. Golden with a white head. Lightly fruity aroma with malt and some caramel. Sweet, but well balanced with hints of hops and some bitterness. Fresh and delicious and clearly one of the best Vietnamese beers I have tried. (2012-05-12)

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 23, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2009 Draft @ brewpub. Gorgeous coppery golden-orange with thick head, decent retention. Aroma is bursting with hops. Has a pleasantly pungent, spicy and deliciously inviting aroma. Quaffable palate. Really floral, herbal hops here but is balanced and has good body. Excellent rendition, as hoppy as an IPA. Rating based only on Hanoi. At the Phan Thiet/Mui Ne location, was blander, flawed, and not as hoppy.
