(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 25 Nov 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of apricots, citrus and earthy hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with apricots, citrus, toast and a balanced earthy bitterness in the finish. Light body, quite dry. Well balanced and tasty bitter. Cask (backlog). Amber colour, small head. Aroma is wooden, resiny, some mild honey sweetness as well as a nice caramel maltiness to it. Appearance - amber to chestnut. Decent head.
Nose - lightly spicy malt.
Taste - dry biscuits and a touch of dried fruit.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - a solid bitter.
