Bottle. Chestnut/Auburn in colour. Fruity; citrus orange, berries. Malty; toasty malts, caramel, hint of chocolate. Hoppy; resinous earthy and spicy peppery hops. Yeasty, well sedimented and some floaties. Sweet fruity malty initially leading to a dry bitter finish. Likeable. (2010-07)

Butelka 500ml. Metny ciemnobursztynowy kolor, lekki osad na dnie. Piana biala srednia, szybko opada do pierscienia. Dominuja slodowe nuty lekki orzech miod ciastka. Niezly balans miedzy karmelowa slodycza a lekka goryczka na finiszu.

Colour: Clear auburn with a small, fluffy head. *** Nose: Malty/caramel aroma with hints of hops and raisins. *** Mouthfeel: Medium body, not watery. Soft carbonation. *** Taste: Strong malty opening with some raisins, toffee notes, balanced by hop freshness and a hint of lemon. Same mix continues, maybe with a touch of chocolate. Dry, medium bitter finish with bitter hops. After taste equally malty and hoppy, of medium length. *** Impressions: Very good premium bitter with strong caramel notes and good balance. Impressively full-bodied for the ABV. Solid effort!

Personally, I am biased to all beers made by Hobson since my wife is from the local town there. Old Henry is my favorite of all their beers. It's an auburn colored ale that is malty in flavor. Served at room temperature, the finish of this beer is absolutely smooth! Just a small bit of hops aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
