An elegant, straw coloured bitter. The hint of sweetness is complemented by subtle hop flavours, leading to a dry finish. Brewed using Maris Otter pale Ale malt, Hobson's yeast and finished with Worcestershire Goldings and Herefordshire Progress hops.

Bottle (excavated by Quack-Duck!): Golden, hazy, some floaties visible, bigger stable lacy white head; moderate sweetish and floral-hoppy nose with a tinge of yeast; light bodied, moderate dry bitter-sweet flavour; light to moderate dryish bitter-sweet finish with a light tart aftertaste. Fine stuff....

Camrakipah (19) - Birmingham, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2008
Draught Pints at Drum and Monkey (Nr Solihull UK) and The Coach and Horses in Weatheroak. Slightly earthy aroma and deeper golden appearance than Hobson Best. Flavour similar to Best but a little more malty and longer lasting. Slightly bitter after-taste but more of a rounded Pint than Hobson Best.

BeerBiker (1415) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2007
[Odense-tasting at Scheffel. Bottle from Christian.] Notes of weak fruity aroma, flat carbonation, some hops and an impression of somewhat mainstream!

Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2007
Bottled. Hazy golden with a small white head. Malty and fruity aroma with some peach. Dry malty flavour, slightly sour, lasting malt aftertaste.
