Aroma diacetyl notes. Lemon grass , golden malts , fruity top. Soft. 5-
Top: short lived medium, rocky.
Base: clear golden ale.
Palate : dry walls, with lighter body. .
Taste:low hop profile, mild, soft diacetyl wrap. Has some better moments but this one was flawed.
473ml can (Slurped hastily). A yellow beer with few distinguishing characteristics. czar (9479) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 4, 2013
pours clear light yellow with a small white head, little retention. honey, sweet corn, maple, awkward graininess and plain caramel, butterscotch, pepper, herbs. average carbonation, light body - watery, herbal and mineral harsh finish. horrid stuff. Poured from a chilled/room temperature can into a glass. Golden color , very carbonated, minimal head. Wet cloth smell. Very light initial taste, transitions to a butter flavor quickly. Not very good. Metalchopz (3580) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 16, 2013
Single can from the LCBO. Pours a light golden colour with a fizzy-bubbly white head that disappears quite quickly and no lace in sight. Big bubble carbonation, but dies down also quickly. Butterscotch with some cereal grains, basically diacetyl. Mild and buttery. Same mild sweet malt and hint of butterscotch in the taste. The mouthfeel is slightly oily, but pretty light and boring overall. Not gross with diacetyl overly, and I like Hockley, but this is their weakest brew. Still, I guess not bad for a light beer.

Can Embrun LCBO. Light yellow, very clear, small foamy white head. Buttery sweet malt aroma. Taste - light fruity hops over some light malt sweetness and a whole ton of butter. Was being opene minded and bought a couple of new Ontario micro lagers this weekend (Baysville Rock Cut Lager as well). Both god awful. Reminds me of a decade ago when this was the norm in Ontario, Thankfully it is not anymore. But still - what a waste of hard earned cash. You can make a crowd pleasing flavourful beer folks, but keep your quality up. Upset at this one (these two). Nothing noteworthy here. 473 mL can. Pale gold, small white head. The distinguishing featuresof this one are a sweet fruitiness and light diacetyl. A shame. These guys were making some solid craft brews before many of the others in Ontario. lesifflebiere (1928) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 7, 2013
473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear golden yellow with modest-sized white head. Aroma is buttery biscuit with hints of honey and grass. Diacetyl dominates the flavour too with some biscuity grains, light sweetness and very light grassiness. Lightish body. It’s funny - here most Ontario craft brewers have been making big leaps forward with their newer products while Hockley takes a real step backward. shorlin (736) - St. John’s, Newfoundland, CANADA - JUN 28, 2013
Aroma is some sweet candyish malt. Appearance is a clear golden, but with almost no head, dies quickly and looks like a fairly dead beer. Taste is quite unhappy sweetness. Palate is medium light, kind of oily perhaps. Don’t drink this beer.
