It is sort of like hoegaarden without botherning to add taste. Grand Cru? I’d like to talk to some people reakt (951) - Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2007 bottle from sainsburys. I remember the first time I had this, I hated it. Now it’s one of those "if you can’t find anything else" brews. It’s readily available at any supermarket, it’s cheap, it’s strong and it tastes great *bright smile followed by a thumbs up*. It does the trick. Spicy nose of citrus and alcohol. Taste of coriander, citrus, vanilla and orange. Oh, and alcohol. Very wheaty. The alcohol dominates the finish, but it’s not a bad thing. It’s warming feeling. Mmmm. ha1ag (959) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - APR 1, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2008 Apr 2007 This is "the pride of the Hoegaarden brewery" says the label. Well, not in my opinion. The 8.5% alcohol is not hidden a all and dominates the flavour. The coriander and some citrus fruits are badly pushed away. Crap.
Dec 2008 The previous one must have been spoiled as the currently sampled ones are much more appealing with proper balance and fruty yeasty mix Beer Snob (501) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 21, 2007
Disapponting - too much carbonation and the alcohol was ever present.
Decent flavour - like the regular Hoegaarden, some spicing and a hint of orange, but didn’t live up to my expectations. charlotte (5460) - rødovre, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2007
Hazy golden color with white head some tast of coriander and more strong alc.Medium body and fresh finish.

This Hoegaarden is a Hoegaarden I can appreciate. Sweet taste and great appearance. Love to drink it from the bottle. DSG (15403) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 2, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2008 Re-rate 2/3/08: Bottle. Cloudy orange color with some yeast floaties and a medium white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, some spices (coriander) and some citrus. Flavor starts with sweet malt, nice citric fruitiness and a bit of banana. Finishes dry and yeasty with some spiciness, hints of orange peel and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied. Good beer with nice balance between malt and yeast. 7/3/7/4/14=3.5voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 24, 2007
Bottle. Cloudy yellow with a big white head. A very nice aroma of orange, spices, and yeast. Flavor is sweetish, with yeast, spices and some fruitiness. The finish is light bitterness with a bit of alcohol. Medium bodied. I think this is the best Hoegaarden. 8/3/7/3/15=3.6
Pours a hazy dark yellowy coulour with a big white head. Ester driven aroma, spicy (cloves), citrus fruits and dusty yeast. Fairly balanced and pleasant. Body is full and sticky, flavour is estery, with caramel, some soft spices and a warm alcohol finish. Not too shabby. ekstedt (7005) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 21, 2007
Bottle. Hazy pale golden/orange colour with a huge creamy white head. Spicy aroma with some fresh citrus hops and a hint of yeast and clove. Aroma brings a faint and delicate sweetness with a warm touch of alcohol, balanced with a light bitterness in the finish. joebrew (608) - Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA - FEB 19, 2007
I found this in the back of my wine fridge from Jan of 2006 so lets see if it is still good. Pours a hazy burnt orange. Nice spicy belgian estery earthiness to it, as well as citrus fruit, and hints of spice. A very nice mouthfeel that hits with hints of citrus and spice, but doesn’t get to complicated. I wish I would have shared this beer, but I didn’t think it would still be good. Oh well!
