Sampled at the Medway Beer Festival 2006 on 18/11/06 - Very sweet, very thick, quite nice. Kalli (502) - Falun, SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2006
Bottle. A whole different beast than the "regular" Hoe. More filling, thicker fruitiness, but something off about the sweetish, I thought.
Maybe a bad example so as I may have a chance to re-rate I will try to do so. SudsMcDuff (8551) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - NOV 14, 2006
Pours a cloudy sediment filled light orange colour...has that hot sweet alco yeast honey smashed flower smell..pretty tasty, but seems to be a tad off the mark, lots of floaties, but still delicous. jonno (3032) - JAPAN - NOV 9, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 21, 2008 this has to be one of, if not favorite beers. Pours beautifully and produces a sweet, though not overpowering taste. Quite sweet and a strong alcohol presence. Can’t say enough about this, but to say I prefer it to Delirium and Duvel. Dedollewaitor (16581) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2006
Unclear golden with fine white head. Aroma of yeast fruits(citrus) & spices. Ok filling texture. Wheat and spices dominates throughout and ends up with a bitter finish. Pleasant and good alternative to the regular Hoegaarden.

Bottle, 330ml. A cloudy pale yellow colour with lots of suspended yeast particles, despite pouring carefully. Aroma is honey, yeast, berries and alcohol. Taste is more honey, yeast and alcohol. Somewhat sweet. A little sweet citrus and alcohol in the finish. Moderate carbonation. A pretty typical strong Belgian ale with nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. I’m not sure why the style isn’t Belgian Wit, but that’s fine. I’ve been puzzled before. It pours a hazy straw body with a towering rocky head. The nose is full of yeast, corriander, tart citric fruits, and wheat. Light and dangerously easy to drink, considering the 8.7% ABV. It tastes of zest of orange, wheat, corriander, white peppers, grapefruit, and a drop or two of alcohol. Very nice. Refreshing.Borup (16032) - Albertslund, DENMARK - OCT 27, 2006

Bottle at home. Hazy orange color. Fruity and yeasty nose, sweet malt taste. Very pleasant and easy to drink. KnutAlbert (6815) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2006
Bottled. Cloudy amber color. Orange and lemon dominates this. Rather sweet, full body. A fine ale.
