Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 24A, adaptado). Bottle 25 cl - Batch 021. AROMA: medium clove and slight banana aroma with a wheat malt background and slightly sweet. no citric notes detected. APPEARANCE: gold color and hazy. medium white, moussy head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low slightly sweet, wheat flavor with medium-low to low notes of clave and banana. slight oxidation note (cardboard). medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with slight fluffiness. moderate carbonation. OVERALL: not quite a witbier but with good wheat characteristics.

Knap så syrlig som den "almindlige" Hoagaarden. Mere fylde, men ellers synes jeg ikke der er den store forskel

bonkiedeaap (799) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 22, 2016
Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is hazy light golden colored and has a nice white head, with livingly Co2. The aroma is citrus fruits, herbs, grass and orange peels. The taste is Is light to medium bitter and is a little sour from the citrus yet it is refreshing and has some nice fruit and spices notes. The finish is light bitter and very refreshing.
