UPDATED: OCT 26, 2017 My first encounter with a white one, many, many years ago. Steady hot day gusher. Cloudy yellow pour with a quick dissipating white layer. Citrus and sweet pineapple and that undeniable wet dog smell. Fresh citrus flavours and a hint of tropics. Thin mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Doesn't disappoint ever I guess. Not one the greats but very sessionable!!

250ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty, slightly spicy and minimally fruity aroma, hints of banana, orange. Taste is minimally sweet wheaty, slightly fruity, hints of banana, orange, a bitter and minimally tart touch of orange zest, coriander overtones. Very well balanced, paradigmatic for sure, but not outstanding.

On draft it is very obvious why this is considered a benchmark bar in its style. It is palatable to a broader range of drinkers as it is Mellower than Allagash White, without that spicy bite. It's a well presented and great tasting brew.

Tap, Stills. Cloudy yellow gold with a full, frothy white head. Wheat, grass, grain, oranges, banana, clove, a little smoke. Fizzy carbonation. Fresh, yeasty finish. Really refreshing, and a great go to since it's virtually everywhere (yes, had it with the orange slice).

Apparently I haven't rated this yet. This time had it on tap at Hong Kong International Airport, paired with local pork belly and chicken rice dish. Poured deep white-orange with some white foam on top. Nose is as always, lots of orange juice, invitingly fruity. Taste has a bit of carbonation, light and flavourful, goes down really easy. I have pretty much always liked Hoegaarden, even long before I knew about craft beer. Best on tap and from that heavy original glass!

NikitaDE (109) - Minsk / Schweinfurt, Bavaria, GERMANY - OCT 20, 2017
Pale yellow colour, tiny foam. So powerful aroma: a bit floral, honey, coriander. The taste is similar to Blanche de Namur. More light, but more drinkable: orange, coriander, herbs, yeast.Light body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in finish. Nice.

Juks (1066) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 17, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours hazy yellow, nice white head. Aroma is wheaty, some banana, citrussy, tart, flowery. Taste is wheaty, sourish, citrussy, lemony, coriander. Light to medium body, crisp carbo. Simple witbier, very refreshing and easy to drink.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2017 From tap. Very strong citrus flavour. Predominant banana aroma and flavour as well. Overall well composed, foam lasts for some time. Excellent aftertaste
