Hazy yellow-orange color. Huge white head that dissapated fairly quickly. Strong wheat aroma with a nice spicy and citrussy smell. Nice citrus flavor. Nice level of hoppiness. Medium to high bitterness for a witbier. Spice an citrus flavors. Solid finish. thin mouthfeel, flavor could be stronger.

Moderate hoppy aroma. Large frothy white head. Good lasing. Clear yellow body color. Moderate bitter initial flavor. Light to medium watery palate.

JugOPunch (83) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 8, 2006
12oz bottle: Great earthy aroma with coriander and undertones of citrus and peaches. A light yellow pour with a clean white head. The flavor was a bit short with just a hint of what the aroma offered. Light bodied and a lightly carbonated mouth feel. A little dull on the tongue. Refreshing and drinkable but not particularly memorable.

Really pale, nice head. Citrus aroma, not hoppy though. Very light in body (in a good way), refreshing. I actually prefer their Grand Cru, but this would be really nice on a hot day.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2006 Hoegaarden Witbier / Bière Blanche. Alc 4.9% vol. 330 ml brown bottle. Cloudy, pale yellow. White medium-sized head, that slowly fades away. Odours of some white bread, a lot of fruit, some alcohol, and a little sugar. Fresh and semi-smooth mouthfeel. Very sweet and fruity taste. Banana-like flavours. Maybe some coriander and some orange peel, I am sure it is there somewhere. A very fine beer, perhaps too sweet in the long run.

12oz. bottle. Murky pale yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy white head. Wheat, mild yeast esters, citrus and coriander in the aroma. Clean wheat flavors that become superceded by a mild citric tang and cordiander and estery spiciness. Mild yeasty must in the finish with residual coriander and banana flavors. Mouthfeel is a medium light, rather smooth.

DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2006
Big white head over a hazy pale yellow. LIght spiec and citrus aroma. Clean light body that is refreshing on the palate. Moslty citrus in the flavor, with some faint yeasty notes in the background. Finishes slightly sour without any lingering sweetness to detract from its refreshing cahracter.

Pours a rather white cloudy color with a nice white head. Aroma is typical belgian yeasty with hints of wheat. Flavor is very clean and typical of belgium whites. This is a very good brew.

I really enjoyed this beer. The orange and corriander flavors really set this beer apart from others I’ve tried. Very summery and refreshing. I would buy this again.
