Bottle. Lemon yeast aroma, cleaner, fresher. Cloudy, gold, real precious gold. My staple while living in Holland, and surprising holds up well to my expanded palate. Refreshing summer sola-lemony yeast zing. Great light session beer.

Nice cloudy appearance with a large white frothy head. Citrusy taste, with a little bitter aftertaste. Really enjoyed this beer, even though its something I wouldnt usually drink.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2006 Milky gold in color with a big head. Citrus and yeast aroma. Drier than other whites and in my humble opinion not the best of them, but a fine beer just the same. if you just drink it from the bottle you are missing out.

Beautiful, cloudy yellow, lemonade color, with a large frothy head. Easy to drink, very citrus, and something you can have on hand for guests who arent typically beer drinkers. All around pleasant.

I really thought this beer was unremarkable with exeption to the corriander. Even then, I didnt find the corriander to help the beer in the taste department. I might be missing something, this is a fairly highly rater beer but I just didnt enjoy the taste.

Cloudy yellow in color with a frothy white head. Weak wheaty witbier flavor, rather bland, dry to palate. Disappointing. bottle.

Draught. Hazy light yellow with a minior white head. The aroma is fruity with citrus and yeast. The flavour is fresh and fruity with hints of citrus. You can feel the yeast and wheat. Oh well, if you want to test it with a slice of lemon that works out quite nice as well.

By far my favorite tasting beer of my favorite type. Hoegaarden is about as pure of a witbier as can be found. Allagash is somewhat of a hybrid, and Ommegang is not as pure as this beauty. Make sure you drink it out of a glass with a gentle pour, as it will fizz quickly. Sit back and enjoy, garnish with a lemon or an orange if the mood strikes you. A delicious treat that can be enjoyed in quantity as well.

I know Im not alone in Hoegaarden being the first Belgian import that they sampled. The beers citrus flavor, fluffy head and lemonade body sets the standards for other Belgian Whites. The only change I recognize today in Hoegaarden is the packaging. I hope nobody just drinks this Witbier straight out of the longneck bottle with the fancy label. InBev even added a back label to include directions on how to drink it from a glass.
