Bottle. Lemonade colored beer with a thick white head. Absolutely perfect looking. One of the most mouth watering appearances on the face of this earth. Pleasing lemony aroma with slight bready notes. Coriander comes through along with a nice citrus flavor. An enjoyable light and refreshing beer. Good for warm days.

Very good beer, has a distinct taste that you will love or hate. Worth a try if you like white beers.

Appropriately enough, it’s whitish yellow in color, as name would suggest. Small, thin white head that diminished quickly. Smells of some citrus and wheat and tastes much the same. Not overpowering, but good none the less.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2007 Witbier’s tend to be all the same. But with hoegaarden that is not the case. Seet aroma with a mild spice taste to it. Great appearence with a frosty head. Very drinkable and delightful beer. I don’t know anybody who can’t enjoy this.Cheers!

Pours an appealing pale hazy yellow. Nice white head. Nice citrus nose mixed with coriander and a light amount of sweetness - very natural smell. Nice crisp flavor - lots of spice and citrus. Pleasant lingering finish. This is a classic that consistantly lives up to its hype.

ganache (6056) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 28, 2006
Bottled (75 cL - woo!). Pale yellow pour, like lemonade, hazy and crisp. Foamy, frothy white head. Aroma fills the room: dusty, yeasty, fruity, and yes, there’s some coriander there, too. Controlled sweetness, short-to-no aftertaste, creamy mouthfeel. Tastes as it smells, it is a wheat beer, after all. Very very mild sourness. Slight citrus. Alcohol perfectly hidden. Bonus point for subtlety, but I’m not getting worked up over this one - far less challenging than, say, a Leipziger Gose. Then again, mildness is probably this one’s virtue.

750ml bottle. Perfect, typical light white cloudy wit beer. Gentle, fresh aroma, some fruitiness, citrus and yeast. Very refreshing flavor, not to sweet and not to much citrus, moderate on the typical banana flavor. Mild, smooth, well balanced wit beer. Not exactly a challenge for the adventure seeking beer drinker, this is just a very pleasant commercial version of a wit. Could have one of these anytime.

Bottle. A light white hazy beer with a medium head which dissapeared quickly. Very little bubbles. The nose was of flowers, vanilla and wheat. The palate was very light, almost no taste, and the flavor was mostly of wheat, and a little of sth i couldn’t put my finger on, but it was sweet. Overall, although i don’t like this style very much, not too good, but not too bad at all.

Above average amber belgian white. Not destroyed by spices in the way that many belgian whites have been. Sampled at Room Temperature, pours pale yellow with murky appearance, strong carbonation and a thick white head. Has a very yeasty taste, mixed with wheat. Slight fruit hints.
