Poured from a bottle into a Belgium "satan" glass. It almost looked white during the pour, but then as it settled down it became a light yellow color but still not transparent. An inch and a half head of bigger foam bubbles formed. After a couple minutes the head broke down to just some lace around the edge.
It smells like a toned down wiezenbier. Ripe banana, peach and a hint of lemon. Very noticeable but by no means overpowering.
Tastes almost like it smells. But there is a sparkling water taste, which does not really have a taste to it.
Moderate Carbonation, crisp, light and refreshing.
A nice drink for the hot days. Subtle flavors. It is not a personal favorite of mine, but it is supposedly the "original Belgian Witbier". How can you not like the original?

Very strong citrus flavour. Predominant banana aroma and flavour as well. Overall well composed, foam lasts for some time, nothing extraordinary.
Good tasty beer but nothing magical. Recommend! 2OLD4BS (10) - west windsor, New Jersey, USA - OCT 15, 2017
Great summer beer! Light refreshing full of citrus flavors. Very well balanced with a nice refreshing finish. Enjoy! Mariox (291) - Warsaw, POLAND - OCT 14, 2017

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2017 Ahhh... An old old friend. Cloudy with a hint of lemon. Like a citrus induced cataract, only tastier! beermonster1989 (11) - - OCT 13, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2017 A very special wheat beer. Exceptional refreshment. A blessing on earth provided by the fine people of Belgium. Piepenhenrich (1170) - Steinbach, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2017
I do love Witbier and Hoegaarden is among the better. It is good and refreshing from a bottle, often served with a lemon, although I think this is not necessary for its wheaty flavors are accompanied by a fine citrus note already. Better of course from tap. And being the most widely distributed Witbier, there are even options to have it from tap as far away as Thailand. Daboch (98) - Gdansk, POLAND - OCT 8, 2017
Jasno żółte, mętne piwo z długo utrzymująca się pianą. Smak lekko kwaskowaty, wytrawny, nuty kolendry i skórki pomarańczy, dość rzeskie. Aromat mało wyrazisty trochę pszenicy, jeszcze mniej przypraw. Średniej klasy witbier gaara1221 (250) - POLAND - OCT 1, 2017
Średni witbir. Piana jest, metne. Aromat pszenicy, w smaku lekkie orzeźwiające. Średnie wysycenie. Całkiem ok ale nie porywa
