Bottle. Pours a very pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma is citrus, spices, koriander and wheat. Flavor is spicy and sweet. A very nice mixture between the two. Tasting bananas, lemon, wheat, and spicy notes.

Tap. Pours a pale unfiltered yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is wheat, yeast and coriander. Flavour is dominated by coriander but surely also has the yeast and wheat notes. Overall refreshing. This was my first belgian beer ever, tasted at Hoegaarden brewery in 1994 first time. Didn’t pay much attention to this as I saw it as a womens beer as Verboten Vrucht was also served....

Has a nice yeasty aroma. It is cloudy from not being filteret. If poured right it has a very nice head - but most often is poured like a pilsener and then it ends up without any head. It has a nice refreshing yeast and fruit flavor. A great beer on a hot summer day for quencing your thirst.

Bottle. Hazy very pale yellow colour. Thick long lasting head. Aroma of wheat coriander and orange. Has a dry smooth taste of coriander and citrus. In the end you get a little sour taste. Very smooth and a good witbier.

Bottle at home ... hazy yellow ... big foam head ... very wheaty little bubble gum ... overfizzy ... good well balanced banana wheat... this is actually quite a good wheat and better than i expected.

Draught. Pale yellow and hazy with creamy head. Pleasant aroma of curacao and orange. Sweet, light bodied and very refreshing. If only all megabrews were this good.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 25 cl) Very pale, almost milky white appearance. Lght in body but incredibly fresh and quenching with it’s perfect balance between the slightly sour notes from both the wheat and the orange peel and the perfumy coriander. On a hot summer’s day it’s hard to find a more refreshing beer. Seems to have lost a bit of character in recent years. 160793
