Pale hazy straw, like lemonade with whipped egg whites on top. The coriander hits hard in the aroma over tangy citrus. Flavor matches the aroma with bits of yeast and sweet malt while being light and quaffable. Zippy carbonation, but somewhat thin bodied. Finish is nicely spicy.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2008 Pours straw and opaque/cloudy. No sedimentation. Spicy orangy taste with sour notes. Good head. Very refreshing and very good for a beer that belongs to a major brewery. Very good witbeer.

Unfiltered, so cloudy yellow color with a think head. Aroma is quite strong with citrus and wheat. Much lighter on the taste buds than I was expecting, it’s very easy to drink. Good beer.

jhagmar (114) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - JUN 5, 2008
Draught at The Bishop’s Arms, Järntorget, Göteborg, Sweden. Hazy yellow with a large, stable, white head. Hoppy aroma with dominance of citric notes. Slightly sweet and sour taste. Refreshing mouthfeel with light carbonation.

This is my favorite brew as of late. Its the original Belgium blanc, or, whitbeir. Pour: smooth. Has a meringue like head which lasts a few minutes and leaves sticky lacing on the glass. Smell: zesty and a somewhat floral hop smell some grain sweetness and a slight scent of banana. Taste: Not as strong as the scent, begins with light wheat, and ends with the smallest hint of lemon. Spices gracefully fade away. Mouth feel: Light, not much carbonation. Drinkable especially for summer. I find Hoegaarden very drinkable especially for this time of year. This would be a great beer with halibut or other fresh seafood. Great session beer, as the ABV is just under 5%.

Cloudy yellow with medium head. Citrus aroma. Medium carbonation, notes of corrainder. Great summer beer, not as much so on a crisp wintery day.

On tap at The Wlatzing Weasel London Ontario: Pale straw coloured body with medium sized white foamy head. Yeasty, citrusy Aromas. Tastes of yeast and spice (possibly nutmeg). Spice lingers in mouth, very smooth beer. Very Tasty!

On tap at Yard House, Long Beach. Lemonade looking pour with diminishing white head. Tastes like a hefeweizen with more citrus/lemon than wheat. Just ok to my taste.

In bottle. White frothy head. Persistent. Straw yellow, cloudy. Not very intense and persistent at nose. Citric and herbal notes, a bit spicy. Malt and wheat in the mouth. The slighty sour and sweet are preminent. A bit of bitter in the final. Very Fine.
