Nice beer but to sweet for me. Smell is sweetish and reminds me on bananas. Taste is nice but like mentioned before to sweet. somehow like vanila

Impossibly light body with a striking resemblance to honey. The head is tall and frothy with a mildly sweet and citrusy aroma. Flavor has prominent notes of clove, coriander, and cinnamon, ending in a light, somewhat tart finish. Would be a wonderful pair to a ripe and mushroomy brie and thinly sliced pear.

Bottle. Pours a nice off white, yellow tint with an nice lasting head. Has a spicy/citric aroma. A smooth body with a somewhat herbal (?) aftertaste. I nice beer during the hot and humid summer months.

Bottle: Not my favorite style of beer- I prefer more "bite" - but this impresses me as an honest brew. Yeasty, bready aroma and tastewith nice hints of spiciness. If only American brewers would use this kind of restraint when adding adjunct flavorings to their brews. P.S.-passes the "empty bottle sniff " test the next day with flying colors. BUY AGAIN? When I’m in the right mood for one; sure.

Sweet n' sour it is; disappointed in depth of spices discernable. Clean tasting beer, but was hoping it would have more flavour. Must try again.

Hoegaarden is in the taditonal style of Belgian Wit Bier's. Served in the appropriate octoganal glass there is a nice shine to the hazy yellow beer. A nice froathy head sits atop the beer leaving a traditional Belgian lace all the way to the bottom of the glass. A zesty corriandor orange peel aroma dance across the sparkling head. Fruity in flavor, very refreshing.

100 cl on tap. pale yellow colour with dense white creamy foam. citrusy aromas notes and a very small note of oranges. the taste is very flowery, like cologne, a lot of citrusy notes, but also some notes of malts, even though its light bodied. a very complete and great beer.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2009 Pour was lightly carbonated, and hazy unique straw colored. Citrus and cloves with spices in the nose followed by a lingering floral aroma. Light smooth mouth feel and not what you’d think from the nose on taste. Alot of clove present up front with little to no bitterness to finish it out. A great summer time beer for something different great up front on the taste but lacking in the finish kept it from a higher score. P.S. On a side note my friend mentioned "it was like drinking the urine from god’s penis" Awesome
