750ml bottle in Mae Kasa, Thailand. Pours a hazy mid-gold with a white head. Aroma of orange and herb. Flavour of coriander, orange, wheat. Nicely balanced.
A classic wheat beer and Hoegaarden’s reputation as a good, mass-produced, easily drinkable beer is well deserved. Belgik (72) - Sterrebeek, BELGIUM - JAN 28, 2002
Snow-white foam over hazy blond brew with a steady lazy stream of bubbles. That’s the correct type for witbier.
Refreshing slightly lemony with some yeasty aromas.
Refreshing nice mouth-foam, slightly yeasty, medium-bodied and quite satisfying. The standard for the witbeer I know, good but not outstanding, best in summer, drunk cold... Pretty low in alcohol, too, an advantage for ’quaffing’ grebs (72) - Ohio, USA - AUG 10, 2009
A great introduction to the style because of its accessibility. Still quite good but not great. Orange and lemon carry this beer and it is much better when served in the cool hexagonal glass and poured correctly. Heed the instructions. The body leaves something to be desired but nobody’s perfect. One of the finest widely available brews and one I go back to when nothing piques my curiosity.

Pours a pale cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Smells of sweet citrus, some wheat, and spices. The taste follows up on the aroma, but with more of a punch on the tastebuds. One can taste all the flavors in this beer. The mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. Not too much carbonation, but enough. Overall an awesome witbier and anytime beer. alcamp99 (72) - McKinney, Texas, USA - APR 3, 2010
Very refreshing; light but interesting; orange peel with clean finish. Bottle conditioned, unfiltered, benefits from pour into a glass. Very nice wit. jmad (72) - - APR 17, 2011
I poured an 11.2 oz bottle into a glass tulip...
The beer was a light hazy yellow with a bubbly white head that receded quickly. The smell has banana/ bubblegum aroma, with lemon and wheat. The taste is similar with the banana and bubblegum, I also tasted orange peel, wheat and grassy hops. The feel is light with soft carbonation and a dry finish. I really enjoyed this beer, I could drink this on any occasion.

Hazy pale yellow with medium plus head. Medium nose of citrus and fruity yeast, whiff of perfumed spice. Medium lively on the palate, light bodied, dry and some citrus freshness, semi-sweet creamy midpalate and short finish. Can’t get around that it is one-dimensional and dull, doesn’t inspire to finish the bottle. I feel certain I’m done buying this one even when the only alternatives in a pub are all InBev. one of the best white beers around. Demonstrates the clear superiority of belgian white beers over german weissbier. Very refreshing though interesting aromas.
