UPDATED: MAY 17, 2003 OLD RATING: Top beer, delivering the concept of wheat beer to the masses. Great taste and easier to drink than most wheat beers. RE-RATE: Pale cloudy appearance with a decent head. Weak orange and malt nose. A reasonable white beer but no where near the standard of the finest examples of this type of beer. Has become quite a trendy beer relying on word of mouth to sell. What is this I hear, interbrew os about to start a TV advertisments for it, surely not!?

This Belgian White tastes a little bit like a wine cooler to me. You can definitely smell and taste the wonderful orange flavor this beer has to offer, but Id rather stick to my German Wheats.

Very nice and thirst quenchingbut Im yet to find the full corriander & orange complexities others speak of. Will give it a few more tries. Maybe I just prefer German Hefes.

A bottle of this after work was my introduction to Belgian White. This brew pours a hazy pale gold with a healthy helping of tiny body particles. The average sized white fizzy head doesnt stay around long before it becomes a thin strip of bubbles floating on top of the brew. Lacing is virtually non-existent. The heavy earthy nose is mostly of malt and suggests cereal and caramel, with hints of flowers, perfume, citrus, and date. The flavor though not overwhelming is balanced with moderate levels of sweetness and acidity with a hint of bitterness. The finish is quick, and the body is light to medium with a creamy soft texture and an astringent feel to the finish. Not very exciting, but good nonetheless.

Draught at Vlissinghe, Brugge. Plenty of flavour still from the trendsetting Whitbeer. The corianer, citrus is a little overwhelming for m taste but nevertheless a decent afternoon sampler

A good Belgian white, and it went down well with Thanksgiving dinner.

Wheaty with a taste of pineapple. Very good witbier, but 1 or 2 does it. Otherwise it gets to boring.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2008 Billowing white cream; hazy, pale lemon hue. Fried bananas served with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon; oatmeal with stone fruits. Brief malts give to tangy acids; coating wheat lingers into a bright lemon zest finish. Well attenuated yet creamy; drying with fluffy carbonation.

Smooth and safe with tangy acids and intriguing spice.

33 cl bottle, best before 20/07/2009.

Pours very cloudy, pale yellow with an average frothy head. Smells very spicy to the point of exclusion of other smells. So its not much to see or smell. Tastes like yummy-refreshing wheaty-bananas. Very light feeling; watery, with very active carbonation. Finish is short and clean, a little more bitter than the start.

Pale yellow and hazy with white creamy head. Yeasty aroma with citrus and some pepper. Taste is yeasty and sweet with some acidity. Some drieness in the finish. Could have more character but it's still a good summer beer.
