A description of the delicate aroma resembles a journey through a tropical greenhouse, the floral and fruity scents, the taster induced response. Orange blossom, violets and honeysuckle go hand in hand with pear, peach, lime and mango. The complexity is complemented with notes of vanilla and clove and complemented by a notion of lavender. After this fresh bouquet comes the resounding of a pleasant and unexpected surprise. The onset of the beer is sweet and reminiscent of homemade marmalade, to be taken over by the alcohol and a refreshing spiciness consisting hints of fresh sage and anise. It is at this time that the vinous character of the beer reaches its fullness and this puts seemingly effortlessly into the aftertaste, which inevitably seems to be not to think of grapes, which proved that a successful marriage between wine and beer is certainly possible.

orangeish pour, spicier and more yeast forward than the others with perhaps a lighter barrel influence, still lightly fruity with a prickly feel that completely hides the 12%. 3rd favorite of 4.

Bottle at De Heeren Van Liedekercke, march 12th 2015. Clear orange golden body with a small white head. Aroma is tart fruits, vanilla and earth. Taste is mild sweet with grapes and peppery yeast, wood, and a wine-ish fruit finish.

Bottle at home- full disclosure, the wife hated this beer as it popped and gushed all over, this may taint my perception. The beer pours hazy pale orange with tons of bubbly khaki head. Nose of apples, Belgian candy yeast, some oak and butter. Buttery oak, apple juice, alcohol heat and esters. Belgian blonde in Sauternes barrels melds ok but not my cup of tea. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,75l fles gedeeld met de biergays. Oranjegoud met een witte kraag. Geur van sauternes zoet. Smaak is vol zoet met een licht wrange afdronk. Mooie volle body.

Appearance: a nice full white head. Nose: wine, some lacto sourness?, reminds me of a pilsner like beer (malts). Sauternes comes out great in this one. Taste: wine, dried fruits, very alcoholic aftertaste, somewhat oily

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a large, fizzy, frothy white head. Aroma has lots of grapes, sweet malts, apples, oak, mild pepper. High carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has high sweetness at first, then light spicy with some pepper, lots of green grapes, mild apple zest, maltiness, oak dryness and finishes off with a pleasant warmth.

Beautiful golden color with orange reflex, hazy, and creamy head. The aroma is vinous, with alcohol, lightly fruity. Smooth mouthfeel, with nice soft malt flavor, light wine touch an pleasant fresh oak, vanilla; moderate sweetness; the bitterness is rather low; warming final.

I like the concept of this beer. But a bit sour for my taste, good carbs and body though
