A solid, tasty dunkel that felt like a session-beer for the century. Smooth, malty, but not too sweet.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2017 Light red-amber color with a light brown foam. Big cara malt aroma. Light roasted maly taste with small residual sweetness. New rating 2017-03-25 Semi lasting brown head. Dark red-brown color. Nice roasted malty aroma. Clean and dry malty taste. Low bitterness and good body.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 9, 2010
Dark coppery colored with little and thick brown head. Nutty and roasted aroma with sweet aroma, nice aroma indeed. Medium bodied, smooth palate. Flavor is also nice with nuts dominating, aftertaste lasts with decent hops, grains and nuts. Excellent dunkel.

ChillCoat (1029) - Concord, California, USA - OCT 2, 2006
Bottle. Dark amber color with an ivory head. Hot, nutty malt aroma. Fruity malt flavor that seems somewhat light for a dunkel. Nice.

(bottle) pours a clear ruby-brown colour with a dark tanned head. aroma of dark fruits, roasted malts, light caramel and milk chocolate, with a hint of coffee. flavour is grainy malts with more chocolate, dark fruit and a long, smooth roasted-bitter finish. medium body with soft carbonation. very tasty!

Süßlich-malziger Geruch.

Bottle. Blackish brown coloured beer with a strong head. The aroma is yeasty and malty, and the flavour is lightly roasted and bitter with a slight sweetness and maltiness. Overall a nice drinkable dunkel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2004 Re-rate: Malty roasted and nutty nose. Red-brown, relatively low carbonation, low creamy head. Dark fruity malt and chocolate base, hoppy aftertaste - surprisingly it is a bit like a big stout. Medium body, smooth fine carbonated mouthfeel.

StueyD (1584) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2007
A cola brown coloured beer with orange-red flashes and a thickish white head. A strong malty nose, nutty, coffee and chocolate. The taste is bitter, somewhat sour, malty, again, bitter dark chocolate and coffeeflavours, the sourness gives the taste a burnt orange like flavour (Gasthof Neuwirt, Halbergmoos, Germany).

Grapes figs Wood. Berries kinda all over the place in a good way. Different in all the right ways. Not sure how to nail this down ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
