Overall good taste, got more Character compared to Munich Beers. Will compare it soon, but as Bavarian local Beer it is not bad. jonas (8035) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2002
Malty aroma and taste, but a bit more balanced towards the (aroma)hops than the average Helles. bierkoning (13689) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 11, 2006
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2012 june 2012. Bottle @ home. Blonde. Malty, slightly buttery, soft floral aroma and flavor. Bready. Well balanced. Good helles.
Original rating: august 2006:
Golden color. Strong malty aroma with orange. Malty, doughy flavor with more than touches of soap and orange. Pretty low on hopbitterness, although there is some lingering in the aftertaste. Promising start, mediocre finish. Café Bozner Mittenwald. 6 3 5 2 10 = 2.6

Bamberg Jolly Day 3 26/01/2014. Draught at the brewpub in Freising. Yellow / straw coloured pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is subdued, grainy, and floral hops. Flavour is grainy sweet, grassy hop with a touch of lemon. Soft light palate. Nice clean ferment.

This beer seems to have it all except a distinct pep. It is really decent and drinkable and seems to evaporate, i.e. it let’s you drink it quickly. It is a very typical bavarian Helles that grows on you. StueyD (1586) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2006
A golden, straw yellow coloured beer with a frothy, but weak white head. A light, weak nose, slightly metallic, floral hop. The taste is dry and refreshing, initially wheaty, then the floral, citrus zesty hop flavour. The finish is dry and zesty. (Bottle - purchased from Walmart, Freising, Germany during our recent trip over. Drunk it whilst watching the World Cup semi-final, hoping it may bring luck to the German football team, but didn’t!) rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2014
Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden beer with a nice white head. Grassy hop aroma, floral, bready, cereal notes. Malty grassy flavor, hay, caramel, floral and grassy notes, some bread. Hoppy bready finish with cereal notes. Quack-Duck (9533) - Down South, GERMANY - SEP 12, 2009
bottle, bought somewhere in the Hallertau. Clear yellow colour with a large white head. Malty, hoppy in a well-balanced relation. A solid and easy-going Helles.
