COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark beer existed in Bavaria long before light beer. This was the first type of beer to be brewed at Hofbräuhaus when it was founded. Today, when beer-lovers all over the world talk about dark beer, they usually mean a Munich style beer. Today, Hofbräu Dunkel - the archetypal Bavarian beer - is still as popular as ever. With its alcoholic content of around 5.5% volume and its spicy taste, it’s a refreshing beer that suits all kinds of occasion. A beer in the traditional Munich style!

Clear amber brown pour with slim tan head, mostly a ring. Aroma is malty goodness with cooked sugar, bread and slight spice. Flavor follows though more subdued. If it tasted like it smells it would be wow. A little thin and watery, but very drinkable and enjoyable, just wish it was more full-flavored.

SENSACIÓN: cuerpo ligero, mediana a baja carbonatación. RESUMEN: una excelente cerveza para el estilo.

Bottle. No skunk, even though it’s a green bottle. Bready aroma, toast, burnt bread pudding flavor. Not as rich as other examples. Dark brown color, fairly clear. Medium light body.

Wysycenie średnie w kierunku do wysokiego.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2017 Some corn in aroma, lots of caramel, little bit toasted bread, some sweet chocolate. Clear dark coppery to brown color with firm creamy head. Taste is roasted malt, strong grainy feel, sweet caramel, some dried fruit, medium sweet, semi-dry aftertaste, well balanced. Medium thin to medium body, kind of creamy, mild carbonation. Very well.
