Very good dunkel. Stout beer with with medium pour. Decent heAd. mike67 (1195) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 15, 2012
On tap at Rosie’s Wine bar. Pours ruby with a long lasting white head. Aroma is of grain, toffee and honey. Medium, slightly crisp body. Toffee toasted malt, noble hops and some cloves combine on the palate for a clean, fresh taste. Long hoppy finish is supported by sweet malt. This is a world-class dunkel. Nutty with a sweet aroma. Dark caramel color. The taste is light enough to be refreshing. Very nice. ghawener (1604) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - SEP 20, 2012
Draft: Delicious well crafted Dunkel, malty with a nice solid body so you can a enjoy a few in the Biergarten. Food Pairing: Goulash. bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - AUG 19, 2013
it’s got that classic bavarian lager aroma, with some darker malt notes. beautiful clear medium brown color, with a slight mahogany tint, like a dark märzen. big slightly off white head drops quickly to lacing. the dark malts dominate the flavor, mildly roasty, mildly caramel. fairly sweet profile. upper medium mouthfeel. clean finish.

Its body has a deep burnt coppery color with lighter amber highlights and good clarity. The pour produces a tall, foamy, light tan head with a mix of small tightly packed bubbles and bigger soapy quick fading bubbles. The settles down to a thin cap of tiny bubbles that makes very nice lacing on the glass. The nose is full and rich. There are solid notes of caramel and bready maltiness followed up by some floral/mineral like German and Czech noble hops. As in the aroma the flavor has nice caramel/bready maltiness and noble spicy/floral hops in good balance with a slight edge to the malt. In the finish it quickly fades to dryer mellow hop bitterness. The body has a medium to full body with a smooth, not to thick/not to thin, texture and carbonation.

Aroma of toasted almonds. Taste is nutty, malty, with a small hop presence to make it refreshing.
