The Munich Beer Festival, or Oktoberfest, is an event of superlatives - it’s the largest popular festival in the world, staging in the beer metropolis of Munich. Millions of visitors from all over the world flock along every year to enjoy its very special atmosphere. For this occasion, Hofbräu brews a rich, full-bodied beer which goes down ideally with traditional Bavarian cuisine. With its deliciously bitter taste and alcoholic content of 6.3% volume, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier is as special as the Beer Festival itself.

Bottle pours a clear pale gold with a thin white head. Rich malty aroma. Taste is bready, sweet, thin, and a bit of fruit. Drinkable but not remarkable.

500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Crystal clear straw-golden body under a firm, frothy white head with good duration. Spotty lacing down the glass. Honeyed pale malty aroma. Mid-sweet taste profile of caramel, honey sweetness, grain and moments of noble hops. Mid-sweet malt driven end with restrained notes of alcohol. Medium bodied. Smooth and clean in the mouth. Like it. (Shared with Frau Eva, Tromsø 20.10.2017).

500ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow with a large, frothy, long lasting, white head that laces nicely. Mild aroma of grainy malt, bread and grass. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, biscuit and caramel with a dry, bitter grass finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Just ok, thought this would be better.

I bought this bottle at the hipercor, los Arcos, Sevilla. I drank it yesterday at home, Cerro del Aguila, in Sevilla. In my opinion, it is an average beer, this traditional brewery makes usually standard beer. This one is ok. Firstly, the body is yellow and gold, average carbonation, thin and white foam. The taste is basic: malty, bready, a bit watery and a sensation of honey and sweetness at the palate, some hop but it is definitely not a pils. The restaurant of this brewery in Münich is so touristical but it is a place to go like the pyramids in Egypt. This beee is well balanced and for a mass of one liter, it is a pleasant one. If in Munich, the mass was imperial stout beer, I think that you could imagine easily that you could build a new hospital to receive the drunk people.

Aroma of light toasted malt. Color is nice goldish amber. Smooth like a marzen. Toasted malt. Light. Finishes fairly clean. Decent Oktoberfest. Poundable.

Gul med stort vitt skum, Doftar ljust bröd och lite aprikos. Söt maltig smak, ljust bröd och en liten fen lite beska på slutet. En tämligen allmän lager.

Pours pale gold. Not as rich as I hoped. Very bready and not as toasty as I thought it might be, for some reason. I could see myself drinking quantity of this and not caring what it actually tastes like.
