Aromas of bread, herbs, and floral hops, with some funky, sour notes (unless the beer is off). Golden with well retaining, white head foam. The taste is dry, nicely balanced with an average bitterness, and earthy. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation with a little spice, and a clean finish.

11.2 oz. bottle Pours a clear gold color with a thick cap of white foam. Aroma is mostly skunky. After the foam settles, more of the bready malt comes through. Medium-light body. Taste is all malt - bread, a little grassy. Finish is a little sweet and dry. Easy drinker.

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour with two finger frothy white head. Medium lasting, pretty good lacing. Pleasant nose, grains and hops, slightly tart. Medium body, average carbonation, slightly soft even. Average texture. Pleasantly bittersweet taste with slight tart notes. Aroma is medium malty, grainy, touch of grassy hops. Slight corn. Herbal. Slight acidity towards the finish. Finishes slightly bitter and somewhat peppery. Overall, decent brew. Nothing extraordinary but pretty good thirst quencher. Good.

Pretty light and creamy as a good German lager should be, however nothing extra special. Not a lot that sets it apart from other similar beers.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2017 Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, some bready malts, slight corn and subtle earthy hops. Taste of grain, some bready malts, slight corn, a hint of grass and subtle earthy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, bready malt bitterness in the finish. A very dry, slightly corny German helles. Below average compared to others I’ve had recently.
