Light golden with a frothy head that subsides into a decent half-inch of sustined head over a bubbly clear beer. A basic german lager is not my favorite style, but for what it is, this is pretty well done. Aromas of sweetish malt, barely noticeable hops and a familiar lager yeasty character. The flavor is smooth, clean and crisp, but with a slightly bitter-hop aftertaste. Not a stunning beer, but does what it does pretty well. Recommended if you want a light, clean unchallenging beer.

From a 12 oz bottle into a stem glass. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grains, pale malt, straw hops, minerals. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of pale malt, hay, grains. Overall tasty and refreshing for the style.

Pale, clear. Dull malty aroma with iron. Typical lager scent, trace of fruits. Little sour, little bitter. Fizzy, no body.

Draught at Hofbräu München - Bright golden color with white head. Its somehow great to drink this Mass amongst the crazy crowd at the Hofbräu, but to be honest, this is a very standard Helles. Okay.

aroma: light malt sweetness combined with herbal noble hop spiciness. appearance: this is pale golden lager with half inch white head with good retention and filtered clear. taste: light grainy malt flavors balanced by soft, retrained bitterness. palate: medium body with creamy texture, crisp carbonation and subtle astringency. it finishes short and dry with a late burst of bitterness. - these are all traits that you’d expect of a well executed Helles.

From draft, huge 1 litre stein at Hofbrauhaus. Golden in colour with huge foamy white head. Bready malt flavour, but easy to drink. Best drunk in the atmosphere of the famous beer hall itself if you get the chance! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
