This is bready is aroma and in taste. It offers a crisp intonation of sweet biscuit, slighty dry, but crisp. It isn’t too complex, but is very easy to drink, and to forget. Mild, but on par, with other dortmunders.

pours clear gold with a smallish white head. Aroma of hay, grass, light skunk. Nice malt flavor. Richer than average for the style. Not overly sweet. Subtle hop presence. Pretty good!

Jabic (735) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - JAN 1, 2018
Ar: Crackers, minerals, and a little sulfur; slightly grassy, dried flowers. Ap: Golden and crystal clear; large white head with excellent retention, creeping downward as a frothy mousse and leaving chunks of lacing. T: Slightly sweet; doughy and round; grass, hay, and cracker maltiness; bitterness is medium, firm, and clean; wet, sweet dough; clean fermentation profile; a bit of candied orange; floral, refined hops; a little chalky, mingling with some sulfur on the finish. P: Medium-light body with high carbonation; medium-dry finish. O: Delicious, quaffable, fresh helles; malt is very fresh, fermentation profile is clean, hops and bitterness balance the malt perfectly, and the touch of sweetness is welcome.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2017 Draft @ some hipster biergarten thing. Clear gold with an ok white head. Aroma of grains. Taste is grains, grains and grains. Some cereals. A little bit of malts, straw and in the distance I can hear a careless whisper from the hops. Medium carbonation. No-nonsense Helles. Easy to drink for sure but I prefer Hofbräu's competitors.

hohops (1162) - Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2017
Appearance- golden, very clear, some bubbles, a small white head which quickly disappears. Aroma- cereal malt, wheat, grains, hint of fruity hops. Taste- creamy malt, bitter hops, cereal, hints of citrus fruit, wheat, fairly full mouthfeel, bitter finish.

Bouteille. 5.1%. Couleur paille, claire comme de l'eau, mousse blanche. Arômes de grains, pain frais et houblon. En bouche, crale, houblon floral et une amertume légère mais présente qui termine le tout. C'est frais et bon.

Bright, grassy, pale cereals, very refreshing, light and super quaffable. Nice example of the style. A well made bare bones lager is a beautiful thing.

My favorite German beer of all time. So crisp, bready, and delicious all in one. If you enjoy American lagers, you will have a slightly different feel about this beer, but I do truly love it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From Jun 2008 A nice clear and bright yellow gold colour with a 2 finger head of foam. It looks like the foam isn't going anywhere in a hurry. Nice. Ok, halfway through the session, the foam shrunk to just a ring around the glass and that surprised me. Oh well. I like the smell....plenty of notes of sweet malt, biscuit, and a nice nose of some citrus hops. The taste follows the nose nicely. Biscuit flavour is there in abundance along with a citric hop kick that gives it some good balance and it finishes with more of the same. Very tasty and very easy to drink. I used to drink this a lot back in the 70s when I lived in California and I'm pleased to say, it's still a damn good Lager. Could I session on it? You betchya!
